So... it's that time of the month for me to post a few update photos. As always, these were just taken around my room here on campus, though I do promise to get more creative in terms of location with future updates.
Anyway, let's begin...
Of course, the pose of leaning with the arms crossed against the wall.
Then there's the slightly blurred (sorry!) close-up.
I've been teaching myself Portuguese in my spare time. I'll be honest in saying that I'm not very good, but I haven't had much time lately either. Oh well.
Being the political science nerd that I am, one of my hobbies is collecting political memorabilia.
Beware the red-eyed James!
My very disorganized room from the perspective of my bed, but notice what's on the laptop...
No, you don't want me. I'm not worthy... LOL
This says one of two things: "I'll crush you like a bug." or "Look at me! I have sunglasses!"
I should probably get around to trimming those lovely neck hairs.
At the end of the day, I'm pretty much a regular guy.
Well, that's it. Hope you enjoyed the photos and got at least a bit of a laugh. If you haven't already, check out my site and let me know what you think. Later! =)

my site
Hi James,
that'll look the greater, the longer it gets! Plus, it's a great hair color - is this your own? (sorry if you have been asked this already). And, I wouldn't worry too much about the back - you can shave off the fluffy hairs if yoiu want, but it is NOT urgent.
Just a remark - I only saw the Republican part of your memorabilia - let's see whether there is a correlation between political orientation and hair length (they say there was one, but it's getting weaker these days ;-) Not being American myself, and having both Republican and Democratic friends in the US, I'll try to be as nonpartisan as possible :-)
By the way, you could practice your Portugese by dropping some comments for João - eg "Felicitações!" He's a undergraduate college student as well.
All the best, happy growth, good luck with your studies, and especially with your finals before Christmas!
Hans-Uwe
Danke, Hans-Uwe! Eigentlich war ich als Kind echt Blonde, aber ja, das ist meine Haarfarbe. (Even though I'm bad with Portuguese, I've taken German for five years now.)
Anyway, I have plenty of stuff from both parties, even though I'm independent, so yes, let's keep it nonpartisan. ;) Also, I'll keep the Portuguese in mind. Maybe when he posts an update. =)
Again, thanks!
Hallo James,
Dein Hans-Uwe
Hi James,
Nice progress and looking great for six months! It's really cool you're keeping up your site. Of course, I'm biased but I just love hair history websites! I think it's so fascinating to track one's progress this way and it will be great to analyze your month by month progress.
Do you mind if I link to your site from mine?
Jason
BTW, I'm independent too but I won't hide the fact that I'm positively giddy over the election results!
That'd be great! I won't mind one bit.
LOL, yeah can't say as I'm too upset either.
Anyway, thanks, Jason!
James
your hair is coming along great!!it's very controlled, something that'll make the awkaward phase a breeze for you...and I noticed that you have a slight tint of red in your hair too..keep it growing!!
Thanks, CerebralAssassin. I hope it goes by without too much trouble. =)
Thanks for the offer, Walter. I'm learning European Portuguese, but any help I can get would be appreciated. Check your inbox. Thanks!
For only 6 months your hair is already looking superb! Appears to be ideal hair to work with. Best of luck to you with continued growth.
Thank you very much, Justin! That means a lot coming from you. =)
You're definitely on your way, bro. Looking good...keep it growin!
Thanks, gman! Appreciate it! =)
Hi
James
Ive visited your site its a great set of picture you have there I hope it will be as sucessful as Jasons is ok you have reached 6 months now imagine when you have reach another 6 month will look great then not that it doesnt now !
Axel
Thanks, Axel! I can't wait to see what the year mark will bring. =)
Welcome to the beginning of the "awkward stage." You're going to see a lot of difference within a year. Don't get discouraged and cut your hair. Once you're able to get your hair into a ponytail, you'll have the flexiblity to wear it down or pull it back so it's not in your way.
What is your goal length? Are you going to keep it long once you graduate?
Later
Brad
Thanks for all the advice, Brad. I'm actually not sure what goal length is at this point. I'll probably be going for my master's around 2009 or 2010, so I've got plenty of time to figure it out still, and then after that, I haven't got a clue. LOL Anyway, thanks again!
Hi James,
Great progress for only 6 months, and your hair looks in excellent condition, can only get better the longer it gets. And your web site is fantastic--we can never have too many hair progress web sites as an inspiration to everyone here. Keep it growing!
David
Thanks for the great comments, David!
