Sometimes if I'm in a hurry, I'll tie my hair back while it's still damp. I would just blow dry, but everytime I do it gets very dry and poofy. Anyway, my question is, is it bad to tie back your hair while it's wet? I seem to have remembered someone telling me it could cause the hair to become weaker and cause it to break. Any merit to this claim?
Also, is it bad to have it tied back all day long almost every day? I've heard this can cause damage as well.

... and your hair will be all right. Also, try to tie a low pony tail, or vary the position of the hair band somewhat. Together with a good conditioner, it should be o.k.
