This is a very recent photo, so I guess it proves that tails (or as they were once called: rat-tails)are still popular with some guys. As a matter of fact, I was at a restaurant last week and our waiter had a waist-length braid with the sides of his head shaved smooth, so I suppose you could call that a tail.
