This is me from June, since then my hair has reached the base of my neck in the back, and about an inch and a half below my eyes in the front. I don't really trim it or anything, and I wash with water and conditioner (no shampoo, seems to dry out my hair bad). As soon as I get my hands on a camera, I'll post a picture (probably in a few days) of what I look like now. I figure my hair grows roughly an inch a month (it grows FAST, I got my head buzzed on May 28th and that picture is from June 22nd), but I hear a lot of talk about terminal length and whatnot, so I hope I don't get genetically short-ended here : P
Any tips are appreciated! Thanks.
Hi Tuite and welcome aboard! You'll find that you'll absolutely love (and probably get addicted to) this place. You certainly have fast-growing hair if that's just about 1 month's growth. Advice... well, stay away from blowdryers, most alcohol-based gel, and any trims. Pretty much basic stuff, but it does help.
It looks like you a very good hair type for long hair (not that most aren't), and your face shape demands it. =)
Again, welcome!

Sweet, thanks! My hair is really straight and thin. I'm not sure what my 'hairtype' is though, still trying to figure that out. It's not dry, it stays really straight, it's shiney and really soft (due to it's thinness). I've never really had any problems with the hair, except for right now being that I'm in that weird between phase where I look like a homeless guy with access to a salon lol.
Welcome to the community Tuite. You have the perfect facial structure for long hair. On top of that , You seem to have thin , manageable , straight hair. I think that is the best hair to grow out. Not the best as in being superior to all other hair types , But the most convenient because it is very easy to manage , and takes less time to grow long! So keep on growing it and never give up. We will all ride the storm with you and provide support.

Wow, it sounds like your hair grows pretty fast.
Way to go for deciding to grow it out.
Heres a tip that was told to me a long time ago by one of the Board's Veteran memebers. I dont recall who said it.
it went something like this: "Leave your hair alone, break all the mirrors in your house, and dont even think about your hair for 1 to 2 years."
LOL, I wouldnt recommend the mirror breakage, however.
Good luck on your journey to longhairedness.
Everyone one the board will be happy to help out if you have questions and whatnot.
