Hi,
I am thinking of growing by hair out. But the problem is I have dry hair and after a certain length gets a little wavy. I was curious would it be possible to straighten it out, when its long enough. I would really appreciate if anybody could me some tips for growing out dry hair.
Thank You
Shyam
Welcome,
if you suffer from dry hair, then you might want to do the following:
1)reduce shampooing.as a long-hair,you'll only need to shampoo 1-2 a week on average, depending on how much scalp oil you produce.shampoo strips the hair of it's scalp oil and leaves it dry.
2)try applying leave in conditioner on the ends (as your hair get's longer)
3)you might want to try washing hair in cold water, that way your scalp oil won't go down the drain :)
CerebralAssassin gives some good advice. Also, when it comes to growing out hair, sometimes it's best to just grin and bear with what you get for the first year or so. I know that sounds like a long time, but believe me you'll be thanking yourself for resisting any straighteners, trims, layers, etc.
And if worst comes to worst you can always put a cap over it. My cap was and still is a great help. :)
Throw away all scissors and prevent anyone getting near you with them.
Don't worry about the curls - see the FAQs which should help you.
