I know some of you thought I said german in my post. However, I originally put "I looked like a member the ... party"(apparently this site censors the name of the socialist party that originated in Germany, and replaced that word with "german" So please, understand I never meant to generalize the german people. I myself was born in Germany (on a U.S. military base) and have a deep respect for the country and its people. Besides, I think we all know that Germans are like any other people and many german men do indeed have long hair.
Oh! I wondered about that comment myself, when I read it in your original post... and now I understand!! Not even I was aware that the ___ party is censored here (and I'm one of the moderators!); so, thanks for clarifying your comment to the group!
Anyway, thanks for posting here, as your contribution is very much valued. Sometimes moderating can be an odd sort of task, though, --- including making some difficult decisions about "grey area" issues. So, I'm not meaning to say anything bad about whichever moderator chose to change your wording over to the word, "German", --- I'm just saying that I appreciate you taking the time to clarify what you meant!

Since I took you to task for it, let me say that I am pleased that there seems to have been some foul-up with your post.
It's been a while since I was a moderator, and I recall no censorinng of the word socialist, so I wonder what happened here. In any regard, thanks for your follow up.
Robert
I used the specific name of a socialist party. Which leads me to wonder if you used the word as well, and it was edited to be "socialist"
