Here's an interesting shot of a father with very nice looking butt-length dreads, holding his son.
Papa 's butt length dreads
Hey wow those are pretty dreadlocks! I would like to know what kind of work all these people are doing that allows them to grow knee length dreads!
I don't have knee length yet (upper-mid back), but I work in a credit office, lol. Starting in May I'll be managing a booth on the Renaissance festival circuit.
Pretty dreads indeed.
Ball Guy, I have somewhat followed your hair journey for a while now. I thought it was absolutly cool that you stopped combing and went for natural dreads. They look great. I had backcombed dreads for about 4 or 5 months, and they were definatly fun. I miss them. Its way cool that you have a job at a somewhat corporate place, i assume, and still have dreads. But your definatly in to the Ren Fest stuff, and I havent been to one yet, but I plan on attending the next one I hear about nearby!
He is probably the luckiest guy in this world with all good things with him ....
Srini.,
That's very nice. That may be close to his real hair's terminal length, but with dreads that can be extended indefinitely.
I love this kind of picture so much. Too often, people forget that dreadlocks aren't merely symbols of weed-smokers, reggae-listeners, Rastafarians, druggies (if the weed isn't enough), mellow people, warriors (interesting juxtaposition), and the like. Maybe the father is all of those things, but "father" and "normal person" aren't in the list at all. Sure, it's just a list I knocked together, but it's compiled of very real stereotypes I've noticed. Pictures like this show not only how dreads are just a hairstyle like any other, but how awesome dreads can look and how cool it can be to have a family that supports them. If I ever get dreads, I hope to have pictures like that in my family album.
