hi
just wondering...does uniform-length hair appear thicker than, say, layered hair? I'm asking cause I'm looking for ways to maximize my hair volume/thickness...thanks!!!
Im not to sure as my hair is not evenly long yet but i can say when i tie my hair back up high on my head its alot thicker then when i normaly do when its low.
Yes, it does. Think about it. The further down your main you go, with layers, the less hair there is. In fact, even if you cut your hair all one length, in a sense this is till true, as the longest hairs on your head are also the oldest hairs. Newer hairs are shorter, and so your hair will always be a bit thicker nearer your head.
For this reason, I keep my hair all one length, AND, I keep my air trimmed somewhere between mid back length and upper shoulder length. I've found that longer than midback and it just looks "trashy", that is old, whispy, thin, battered. And this even though my hair is in good condition. No split ends, no dyes or bleaching. I take good care of my hair, but at a certain length it just gets thin enough that I don't like the way it looks.

I would have to say yes to this question and take for an example Jason who posts on this board as 100% proof as to how well it can look. However, it will take much much longer to attain length, but it certainly WILL maximimize your hair volumn/thickness to its fullest possible extent.
yeah!!Jason's hair is indeed a true inspiration! :)
absolutely...i recently got mine uniform (bad decicion i liked it kinds scruffy :p) and its definately thicker looking :P
