I had a VERY nice time reading about those knots, especially the one written by Old Hippie. I'd love to coppy the discussion on my web site, AM I ALLOWED? As it comes to those darn knots in hair or beards - put a conditioner on it, since it will make it slippery and easier to comb. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Then rinse very well out with your fingers spread appart and running through your hair from your scalp/skin toward the ends. No need to cut any hair. The rubbing of your hair against your body makes it be tangeled, thus creating those knots.
As far as I am concerned, yes.
Unfortunately I can't speak for the others in that thread.
The knots I (and presumably Bill) were referring to are not "tangles" where several different strands are loosely knotted together, but rather TIGHT little knots in a particular strand, involving only that strand, generally found near the end. I really can't imagine trying to untie them using needles and a microscope...nor does it seem that applying conditioners will allow these very tight things to be worked out.
