I'm not trying to BE Kurt Cobain or anything
I'm just a biig fan of Kurt Cobain and in some pics - it looks like the under side of his hair was extremely short.. (I really don't get how it works)
and I'm obviously asking this question because I want to try it first
It's either Kurt Cobain's long hair or buzzed hair.. lol
Thanks! :)
Hope that helps,
Matt
Agreed, Kurts hair looked best when it was very long in my opinion.
Hey dude i have to say im a huge fan of Kurts hair,i thought it was awesome when he dyed it red but you cant beat it as blonde.
This is me, back in 1996- in the lobby of an office building.

Hello everyone,
Back in the early nineties, I worked as a bike messenger, right smack in the Grunge era. As I started working, in 1988, the mullet was the fad, and later, in the nineties, full hair was very common, and I started to conform to the trend without changing my style which I had since 1979.
This style brings back memories of my second youth, and working in the "service industry", that business sections of newspapers were clamoring about.
The early nineties were a period of diversity when it came to long hair. The "conservatives", like I was, usually had their hair in a ponytail, or lose, with no cutting. Then you had the mullets, and the undercuts, and the great thing, is that we got along well.
As the 00's approached, more guys started to shave their heads, and boredom was creeping in. Yet there was no backlash against me for not shaving my head. I was still respected despite wanting to hold on to my hair. I just felt bad, that guys were destroying their beautiful manes, in the name of efficiency.
Funny to say, my new employer felt better about long hair than shaved heads. After 1997, I started work as a computer technician, and am working at the same place today.
Have a nice day,
Georges
Thanks for the reply guys :)
I really appreciate it!
I just have one more question..
Do you think Kurt might've had an undercut in this picture?

It kind of looks like a few months after an undercut (if you look at the sideburns), doesn't it?
Thanks again :)
Hello,
It looks like it might be with an undercut, but hard to tell.
This is how an undercut looks like in the above pic, dating from 1997.
Georges
It's possible but hard to tell. If that's the style you are aiming for, an undercut isn't necessary and in fact may make it harder to achieve, depending on the thickness of your hair.
Matt
Thanks for the info!
but it does look like I'll need to trim the sides a little... i think.. like behind and around the ear? no?
Lol..
I dont know if he has an undercut in that pic, but that is my favorite picture of him. I love his greasy hair.
