To start off theres FAR FAR too much drama on the internet, internets, interwebs, series of tubes or whatever you want to call it.
Second looking at the recent things that have gone on the past couple days it appears there's been far too much drama on this board. "oh i dont feel good looking enough" "oh i'm not getting enough attention when i post" "oh people arn't being honest" blah blah blah....
the purpose of this board is to do the following:
1. Ask for advice and ask questions reguarding long hair
2. Give advice and answer questions reguarding long hair
3. Post your own progress pics
THATS ALL...this is'nt a social board so dont go expecting that. It is simply a support/informational/Q&A type board. Do not come here if you want people to tell you you're beautiful or just want attention of some sort....quite frankly that falls under the same catagory as trolling in my book.
When you post....you should ether be asking a question or for advice....giving answers or advice...or posting your own progress pics which in my opinion is helpful to others so others can look at pics and know what to expect in XX months/years....like say someone is 10 months into growth and they want to know what it will be like in 20 months..looking at someone's 20 month updates gives them a general idea of what it will be at at that time YES I KNOW EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and results very but it still gives a general idea...which is my point.
If you just want people to tell you how good looking you are ...looking to socialize or looking to get attention....there are boards on the internet for those things....this board is NOT one of those
However if you want to get any information reguarding long hair or assist in the spreading of information of long hair...THAT is what this board was designed to do.
Thank you.
The only REAL way to stop all the drama is to stop posting messages like this.
You're not helping (and neither am I).
Leave it to rest, and it'll go away, kthxbai.

I am glad the board isn't really like that, it sounds so clinical :)
This board is mostly about hair but there is always room to be social, I know I enjoy coming here and hanging out and I am not necessarily looking for any answers to questions. But you never know when you might get a great band review or other valuable trivia or even a really good story :)
I would also be dishonest if I didn't think that posting progress pictures wasn't showing off :) I certainly enjoy reading positive comments and I consider that part of the support system we have here.
Can't agree more. The three purposes of this board stated would make it a very clinical forum. Some socialising and trivia is OK, whole support and advice for longhairs facing some personal or emotional dilemma from family, girlfriend, peers or associates over their long hair is helpful.

Um... really? Because I'm fairly confident this is a community of longhairs. Not a place people come to only find an answer or ask a question. If that's the only reason you come to this board that's fine, but please don't lecture to the rest of us the purpose of this board. Perhaps some people have other purposes than your own? What makes their reasons for coming here wrong and yours correct?
Please relax. There is drama...but have you looks at the "real world" recently? there is drama everywhere there are people, and people on the internet are no exception...
Last I checked we weren't all just using each other for free advice, and I feel sorry that you see it that way.
Enjoying the community for all that it is,

well said, my friend
Hey, haven't you heard about the latest new Soaps? "As the Longhairs Grow", "The Bald and the Beautiful", and "All My Longhairs" I've heard are becoming big global hits, --- and they're now even on the Internet... like, right HERE (lol!!)!!!
As for me, I love love LOVE a good drama now & then. So, why not sit back in your favorite recliner-chair, put down your newspaper, and then just lean back and enjoy the show!

(who will have a hissy-fit if he doesn't get to play "leading man" or at least have some major starring role...)
lmao!!
But Ken. What about the Popcorn? What's a show without that? And for such a show as this it would just HAVE to be the expensive Buttercup Popcorn lest one might "bee stung" by the inferior! Also a jar of bubbles to keep dipping into and a pair of goggles so as to not get soap in the eyes. Afterall, we don't want any tears around here. LOL
For many guys who have long hair or who are currently growing their hair long,
real life can provide enough drama: negative comments
from family and friends--especially when directed toward the younger longhairs can have devastating effects. Some are threatened to the point of having no choice but to give in and cut
their hair.
And then there are the doubts: should I be growing my hair long, do I look horrible, am I hurting my chances to find a mate, etc.
Oh yes, long hair provides plenty of drama...just ask and the stories
will come pouring in.
