Hey everyone, thought I'd drop by. I hope some of you remember my dilemma back in July with cutting my hair for my brother's wedding and work and things. Well, I did it last summer. It was a hard decision, but it was the right one. The relief I felt afterwards was badly needed. I feel like I gave long hair an honest effort (over two years!) but it's not for me right now. I may do it again later, but it's not my place right now. Peace.
Yes I do remember that you were going to cut it and I guess you did! You looked mighty awesome with the long hair and as usual I was sorry to see it go, but I am glad you are happy with your decision and didn't regret it as sometimes happens.
You can always grow it out again later if you need yet another change in your life down the road. You look pretty happy with the band in this pic. Hope school is treating you well, thanks for letting us know how things were going with you :)
Well we all come to our own conclusions. The thing about choosing long hair (even if later deciding against it) is that it is a choice that takes committment and continuous re-evaluation (particularly during the akward stage....or so I've heard-I am not really quite there yet).
I had to reply because the pic shows you as part of a marching band. Having marched for years myself, I am always excited by others' adentures with said.
Cheers!

Really? With who? What do/did you play? This is the University of Illinois Marching Illini. It was after the last game earlier in November. I played for 4 out of my 7 undergraduate years (finally graduating in two weeks). Disregard the parka-rain gear thing. We do have real uniforms, but it was really cold.
About hair, I do agree with the commitment aspect. I lasted through the awkward stage although another month would have gotten my bangs into my tail. I took good care of it, and never straightened or colored. I don't know, it was just really wearing on my mind. It's been a nice change overall and I don't regret it.
