Thanks all for all the response. I find that I can live without a conditioner but I felt the hair started looking better when I did use mane and tails... As for Korea or other Asian countries... most people in Asia as far as I have seen must have a collective mind. It's almost like they got a chip or something in their brain and someone can control exactly how they live or whatever. Everyone is so same down to the smallest detail you can think of. Alot of asian countries Taiwan included have had a very short time of freedom and democracy therefore it takes a little getting used to. Some traditionalist prefer authoriterian regime like back in the Emperor days because they think Chinese people dont know how to handle freedom and if we had freedom there would be chaos... I dont know there are some growth pains like I dont know of any Taiwanese official who isn't stealing money from somewhere...
Hi. I have a question or two for you. I have teacher who is originally from Taiwan. Anyhow, she was telling us about how Cantonese and Mandarin is hard for someone that speaks Taiwanese to understand. I had no idea this was the case. I know that the Chinese scr ipt is the same for all the dialects on the mainland. But is the Chinese pictographic scr ipt the same for Taiwanese? Is it true that Taiwanese really has no written language? What is your experience with this? Besides English, how do you write the everyday language that you speak? Sorry for so many questions, but I am interested in everything. BTW, cool hair update.
Okay... the mainland Chinese writes a simplified form of Chinese which is basically traditional chinese with a few strokes missing to make it easier to write. The communists created it. Traditional Chinese is what Taiwanese writes and it is esentially the same kind of chinese that has been used for thousands of years. Taiwanese is actually Hokkien or something which is a part of China, since it is a spoken dialect there are no written language for it. I dont know anything about Cantonese, all I know is that I am really sick of Asia because everyone here have complex mind... you gotta watch out for everyone and be extra paranoid because of this... In any case I will probably move to Canada in my 30's...
When you do, look me up Tai Fu. I'd love to get you to make a rockin' electric Ukulele for me. THAT would blow my students' minds! (Maybe some flames or something?)
Cheers!
Shawn (Mr.Crow)
Yea but where are you going to find strings that can work off of magnetic pickup for a uke?
For flames I could use flamed maple but that is expensive.
Could one use metal Bano strings, like they use for 'Banjukes' (Banjo-Ukeleles)?
Well if you lived nearby, I'd have my uncle source out some cheaply for you. (He is a "cabinet maker" working as a Maintenance Crew member for the school board for which I teach.)
Where are you from? Canada, where? (Canada being like 3 times bigger than China (which is 3 times bigger than the USA) it would help knowing where in Canada) I know its gotta be like very easy to get good quality maple from Canada... they didnt put that maple leaf on their flag for nothing. What I would really like is a Uke or a guitar made out of Flamed Koa... but that thing is more expensive than equal weights of gold...
My dearest Tai Fu,
I am confused when you say that China is 3 x US. Surely you do not mean in topography. re they not about the same?
Perhaps you mean in population and that is true, China has about 3 x the US population, but in about the same space.
So in this case, Canada is not three times China. It is not even three times the US, unless you count a lot of water. More like it, the population of Canada is not 3 x thje US, and not even 1/3.
Please tell me if I am wrong.
Caledonian.

I dont know... I do know Canada is the second largest country in the world in terms of land area.
