Hey everyone!! Its been forever since Ive last posted on here (July 2006) so a lot of you probably dont remember me. Thought I would share an update pic of my hair at 1 year with you all and get back into the forum more often. Its starting to look good and although Im still in whats considered the 'awkward stage', my hair isnt as bad as it used to be. My short term goal is 2 years, just to see where it will be. Ive been told that 2 years is ideal before youre completely out of the dreaded bad hair stage for good. Anyone on here, based on experience that had similar results to mine after a years growth, can maybe gauge what mine will look like in another year?

Hi, Jesse. I haven't been growing my hair as long as you, but I must say that yours is very awesome! It'll be great to see the results of another year's growth on you. Look forward to the updates! =)
If that's considered the awkward stage, I wonder what the stage I went through should have been called! At one year, my hair was almost considered an afro; I still had no idea how to care for it. Now, at twenty-seven months, I'm finally happy with it, and I'm glad I didn't cut. It only gets better! Keep it growing!

Looks teriffic now and will look fantasic by the 2 year mark. The "waves" will straighen out quite a bit once the hair is clearly past your shoulders. Good luck to you in the year ahead.

I think for one year in your hair is looking fantastic! It looks quite thick and its quite long for a years growth. As far as hair types go, my hair and your hair are it two totally different leagues - my hair is still AWKWARD now after 5 years of growth. So, I'm afraid that I can't really estimate about how your hair will look in another years time. All that I can say is that I THINK it will look great!
