I am one of those guys who has had long hair since I was small. My parents liked it, particularly my mom.
Later (teens to now), I started to do things with it (perms, buns, braids). I feel very natural with it mid-back to waist length.
Any similar thoughts???
I have always loved long hair all my life, but my parents were not as open as yours were about boys with long hair. Now that I am an adult, I let my hair grow to a very extreme length for a man. I love my hair and would not part with it for the world. I plan to never cut it. So let your hair grow and love it. There is no reason why a man cannot have long hair. I have also styled mine into buns, braids, ponytails pigtails, even french braids. So do what you want with it and don't worry about others. I don't.
I decided to write you because I like an extreme length hair to. I am growing
it during last five years and now my hair is past waist length. Earlier I could not have a long hair because I lived in Soviet Union wich was a very
conservative country. Now in Russia it is possible. I think that long hair
on men should be as ordinary appearance. Now I am 30 years old but I hope that
my hair will be still longer.
If you would like to write me my E-mail is ksw@neva.ru. I'll be very glad.
Best wishes, Sergey.
Actually, mine was regularly styled by mom, not too feminine, but to look neat. I have just taken it another step, I guess.
I was growing my hair long when I was a teenager and my parents, especially my mother, told me either to cut it or style it as a girl. This was in the sixties.
As I did not like to cut my hair I agreed with my mother to join her to her hair dresser for a perm. I loved it.
My mom then encorouged me to keep the hair long and in "style" and thought that as I looked as a girl why not also wear make up.
After that I have had my hair permed in different styles, mostly female styles. Today I still wear my hair long, close to the waist when it is curly permed, I have it done in a curly perm and most of the time keep it loose. I have also tried to colour it and today I have a darredkbrown colour.
As many people thought that I was a girl due to my hair style when I was a teenager
