Why does my bangs feel so thin, it's just like they're sprouting out in all directions, this especially happens when i've washed my hair, although the back hair is still really thick, i wonder if it would be better to just cut the bangs short?
From the pics you've posted in the past, it looks like you have quite thin hair. Especially in the back area where you can almost see your scalp. Hopefully it will just stay thin and not leave you balding.
I think it just looks thin because there's so much blonde hair growing out beneath my coloured hair, but believe me, my hair isn't really thin.

Hi Simon,
Your problem with "thin" bangs is probably related to the tendency for bangs to grow slower than other hair on your head. This is perfectly normal--other people have complained about slow bang growth. DON'T cut them--by cutting them, you will only make the process of growing them out take that much longer. You will want bangs as long as possible (at least an inch past chin) to make it easier to keep all your hair in a ponytail tie as the rest of your hair gets longer. Hope this helps.

I know girls cut their bangs all the time... seriously dont cut your bangs because you WILL look like a girl!
I think that is a little unfair as there some men that do have a fringer/bangs and I they some might take offense at that. So I wouls think about before making sweeping generalisations!!!

Hi Tai Fu,
I assumed you meant to reply to the original poster (Simon) rather than myself. I know I don't have any intention of cutting my bangs and explained to Simon why he should't cut his. I also agree with John B. that some guys prefer to have a fringe and might take offense if someone suggested they look like a girl.

Hey - My bangs do the same thing and my hair is similar to yours. I often look at women with long hair (since there is a general lack of men with it) and most of them have lots of "whispy" hairs in front too and there ponytails are perfect. My niece has awesome, thick, curly hair. I was checking it out over Thanksgiving and she had a lot of thin, shorter hair in front. I think that sometimes we (as men) over analyze ours because we're not accustomed to having it long when in fact it is normal. Then again I've seen some guys with hair where every hair seems to be in place. I've come to accept mine for what it is. It would be the same short (been there and done that) and would probably bug us just as much so why not keep it ong. Keep it Growing - Bruce'ster
DON't cut the bangs..unless you wanna look like that V for vendetta dude..
Sounds to me like this is all new growth sprouting. I would be tempted to leave well enough alone. Hair grows in cycles all the time.
