So they're 2 weeks after my b'day, but here's some photos of my dreads.
Finally starting to get long. What do you consider long? I don't really consider my dreads LONG just kind of "starting to get long"

Awesome dreads man, I wanted to get dreads too but my hair was too short at the time. They look great on you though, and the spacers are pretty darn awesome too.

YESSSS!!! Your dreads are FANTASTIC, Kevin! I've known/seen a bunch of Caucasians with dreads and I have to say your's are some of the best I've seen. The length is looking really good compared to your avatar. I can see you with waist-length dreads for sure. I have much respect for those who have the courage to cultivate and maintain dreads. Good job...they suit you very well!

I'm not sure how long I want to let them get, but I'm thinking at the very least waist length.
Hehe, you might have to lose respect for me. . .I didn't start them and I don't maintain them. . .I have really curly hair that I had to condition the heck out of to keep detangled, and I finally gave up the fight, decided to just keep my hair clean, and let it do the rest.
Looks great - I would consider your hair to be long, but I guess it depends what length you are after!

I'm not really sure myself. . .if they start to give me lots of headaches, or if it gets incredibly hard to keep them from getting in the way of things, I might trim them, but I think I'll just let them go for a few more years and see how I like them.

It's been over 4 years since I've had a haircut, and just over 2 years since I combed/detangled. They've kind of evolved since then

Dang dude, those dreads are dope.:P Seriously, they are; they look way better than a lot of the misshapen, chunky locks I see on a lot of first-time (or lazy) dreadheads. The color, the thickness, everything - everything's just plain awesome, and though they're still just approaching mid-back, you've come a long way with them, judging from the collage you shared with us last update or so. It seems like a cliche for me, but if I get dreads, I want them to look like that, lol. LOL on the mushroom pic.
For the length, I know what you mean, especially when you consider the mystics with hair going across the ground. When your dreads hit like waist-length, they'll start to seem pretty long, I'd imagine, and I don't think you want dreads long enough for you to wrap around yourself for an impromptu mummy costume, but hey. :P How long are you planning on growing, anyway?
Btw, are any of these cloths in the backgrounds sarongs? I remember you had one in one of your updates. It was cool.
Lol, that's the thing, I am one of those lazy dreadheads, hehe. I'm just lucky to have curly hair, and have you seen any of the earlier photos of about a year ago? My dreads were chunky and frizzy as all get out :)
I dunno. . .I'm thinking at least waist length, I might try and go for the ground since I'm not limited by terminal length now ;)
They're actually Saris. A bit smaller than a sarong, I'm using them as curtains for my "closet".
lol, you showed a collage with pics from when you had regular long hair to the dreads you had at the time of the update. But your dreads look cool now, and a lot of the guys I know have been growing their dreads for longer than you, and they have like two or three locks, because one is like five times the size of the other, and the rest are like little fuzzy worms. lol. Yours are all defined and stuff.
Oh, cool. I thought saris were a lot bigger (or longer, anyway) than sarongs, though, because they're draped over the shoulder after going around the waist. Or something. At any rate, that's a sweet use for them, lol. I should invest in some....

Hi! Your dreads are looking excellent these days. They look pretty long to me. Maybe not to you since you see them all the time. I hope you are enjoying your "mobile home" and that you have gotten it fixed up like you like it. You should keep a diary of your experience living on the road - Jack Kerouac style - and you might come out of it with a book on your hands.

Fantastic dreads! I have been following since you started them, and they just seem to look better and better. Also, I really like the stretched ear lobes and the septum piercing. How big are the ear lobes now? Have you finished stretching them?
