I have been growing my hair for 2 and a half years with no real significant trims and all my hair is one length. For some reason though my hair has made me natural like bangs, only on my forehead area. I ask everyone in my family with longhair and they just say it is new growth, but none of them have it. Should'nt most peoples hair is still growing have this? Im just worried because i used to wear a tight ponytail that was always tied up when wet and i think that this hair is all broken from the constant streching and pulling was involved. If my hair is dry, all the hair wont even go into the ponytail because of these bangs that only reach to my nose, i have no idea how i got them because i never cut or anything.
Some pictures of your hair might help. I suspect you are right about putting your hair in a tight ponytail while still wet causing damage. Since hair is much more easily damaged when wet, tying it in a tight ponytail can only cause harm. I suspect the bangs should grow out now that (I assume) you are only tailing your hair when dry.
Hope this helps,
David
