Hey guys, I'm new here. I've been growing my hair for a year and a half now. I've had it long before but never to this extent.
I wash it daily or every two days but it's still very shiny and almost looks greasy. It isn't greasy to the touch but still kind of has that look. What do you guys think?
Welcome aboard! Your hair looks great and the shininess of your hair is awesome--there's certainly nothing to complain about if you have shiny hair! The fact that you have straight hair should make it that much easier to grow really long. Do you have a final goal? Keep it growing!

Welcome aboard!
The hair in the pic looks a bit shinier nearer to the roots and more dull towards the ends. Are you brushing with a boar bristle brush? While I avoid such parctice, having curly hair, I've only read that it helps pull that natural, scalp-produced oil (called 'sebum') down the length of the hair, getting some of the greasy look to convert into evenly-distributed shine. (And who doesn't want a bit more shine?)
best of luck, keep on growing!
