..I dreamnt that I had a buzzcut!!needless to say,I felt a ton of relief when I woke up to see that my hair is still intact! *pheeeww!*
does anybody else here get these kinda dreams?or,generally, any dream relating to hair?
I had a dream a couple of weeks ago in which my hair was either shaved/burnt off can't remember how exactly but oh my god was i so reliefed when i woke up to find i still had all my hair! lol
I am always geting those kinds of dreams =P
It's always a relief to wake up and touck all your hair... I actually use to wake up crying... my long hair is that important to me... Don't worry about the dreams, they mean you are atached to your hair, and that's good =)
Good night and sweet dreams!!
Hello,
These dreams, are like a "computer simulation" of you with short hair. The reaction, the regret you have to the hair of your dream, will actually show you are a real longhair.
I think these dreams are good, because, it is like a "photoshop" haircut, and more, like a virtual reality haircut, and when you wake up with your hair... it is reassuring.
I, myself had a few of these dreams, in the eighties (I have long hair since 1979). Eventually they became dreams of losing hair through male pattern baldness...
Have a nice day,
Georges in Montreal
yep. Has happened to me as well. I cant recall the dream but i remember it happening. For some odd reason , I dream very little. I dream like once every two months and when i do dream , I cant remember a damm thing about it. Maybe all the caffeine i consume is causing damage to my brain................................
lol..I can assure you your dreaming patterns aren't due to caffeine..I have met a couple of people who said they never dream..and besides that..I'm a caffeine junkie myself..but I dream quite often!! (the only problem is,I rarely remember what I dreamt about, the only thing I remember is that I dreamt about something, lol)
yeah..for some reason I remember vivedly this dream..I was looking in the mirror, rubbing my head and wondering what had became of my locks of hair :(.I guess I remembered that because it was the very last dream I had before I woke up!!
I agree with Joao and Georges though, dreams like these mean that your hair has some significance for you...and it's always a good remainder of how much progress one's made over the months..:P...so..keep on dreaming!!:P
Actually, I had a similar dream just a couple nights ago that jump-started me a bit, as well as another where I had much longer hair that didn't get cut off.
I dream pretty much every night actually. There are a lot of personal issues and stress in my life right now, so perhaps that's why. I also haven't been sleeping all that well. Oh well...
Yes, this happens to me too. I get these type of dreams quite frequently. Sometimes half of my hair is gone, sometimes all of it. I wake up almost in a panic. I feel to make sure that all 3 feet plus of my hair is still there, breathe a sigh of relief, and go back to sleep.

Maybe once years ago I had a dream that I had cut my hair.
But now, I never have such dreams.
Whew. Luckily I have never had any dreams of that nature. But one thing it seems to point out............that being that long hair means very much to you.
Perhaps a happier dream for tonight like winning 1,000,000.00 in a long hair contest!
I usually dream about my hair being long quite a bit. But as far as having dreams of getting it buzzed, I have not. I guess it comes with the hair length, so I should start having those dreams in a year or so. Yeah, not looking forward to that.
A few months ago I had a dream about getting on a elevator and there was a barber in it, chair and all.
He kept trying to get me to sit down and would not open the door. Then I just woke up. Really strange dream.
Well I got a wird dream last night... I dreamt that Bart Simpson became a barber and started shearing any guy in the street... Maybe its because I went to sleep at 1:30 am
That is some awful nightmare! It must have been a relief when you woke up! My dream was a MUCH nicer one. About two weeks ago, I dreamed I had waist length hair--it felt so awesome, flowing all around me. That was one time I wanted the dream to last forever, and also made me want waist length hair more than ever.
I also had another dream that a co-worker had grown his hair much longer. (I currently am the only longhair in my workplace) In the dream, some of my other co-workers started to give him a hard time about it, and I told them off about teasing him.

I have those kinda dreams once every month or so now that I'm growing it out again.
I've had hair dreams BOTH ways, --- meaning, when my hair used to be short, I used to occasionally dream it would be long; and then conversely, once my hair was long, I'd dream that it was short again!
I've never had a buzz-cut dream, though. I had buzz-cuts as a kid, and I just hated hated HATED them!!! So, to me, that would truly be a nightmare!
Most of my hair dreams feel pretty harmess (emotionally-speaking), --- even when I'm dreaming my hair is shorter, it's not usually "super-short". But I have to admit that sometimes i wake up and think to myself, "Now isn't that a bizarre dream!!"

I can remember having a similar dream back when I had dreadlocks (that would make it 4-5 years ago). I was shaving, and then suddenly I jammed the razor 10cm up over my ear, shaving off all the locks hanging there, ruining everything. I was quite happy when I woke up to realize it was a dream.
I had a dream once that I had bleached my entire head again or dyed it dark maroon and I was regretting it and then woke up the next morning to be relieved that I still had my natural hair color, lol.
The bleaching nightmare is probably stemmed from the time I took bleaching my hair into my own hands and ended up with a orange/yellow brassy hue. I also have dyed my hair dark maroon before...that didn't last too long, haha. ;p
I had a dream where in was sleeping in my dream and some one gave me a buzz in my sleep, then I woke up in my dream and got pretty upset about it. Then I REALLY woke up and my dream left me believing that id had a buzza. All day I was touching my head making sure my hair was still there, left me feelign really odd all day. : /

sure have.
feels really good to wake up and realize it was a dream, but at the same time the feeling kind of haunts me for the next few hours.
also have had similar dreams with having my front teeth knocked out (I have big rabbity front teeth, so I guess they have a more prominent place in my psyche that most would ;) ).
And my car stolen or wrecked.
