Hey everyone! 39 months has passed now since I started growing, and since it's been three months since my last update I decided to take some progress pictures today!

Great updates.
Question: Is that 39 months with trims? (If it takes a relatively straight hair 39 months to reach mid back, I'm gonna take a Looooooong time.)
Thanks for the variety of shots. My favourite is the ponytail shot: the growth looks thickest and fullest with lots of body and shine in that pic (IMO).

I've had some trims maybe around 1-3 time each year (only one this year, but I'm thinking of getting it done again soon). Never more than a couple of centimetres at most though.
The curls loosen up a bit later, the pics were all taken a relatively short time after washing the hair, so it gets more full bodied later, I think.

Thank you! My goal lenght would be around waist when it's dry, but I don't suppose I'll ever get there, so I'll settle for as long as it can grow :)

Thanks a lot for all the compliments! I'm particularly happy with how well the goatee is turning out, compared to last time I grew it out. In a way I'm now happy that I did shave it off when I did, so it could grow back even better!
I'm already planning my next tattoo already, so we'll see when it'll be ready. I'll be sure to post it here!

Well, Stefan, you hair is looking great, of course. However, it is still my contention that the black T-shirts don't do your hair justice. HAHAHAHA! It's too awesome to be blending in with anything else.
And, I hope you decide to keep on growing the goatee. I think it will be awesome to have it all braided up. I am still thinking about whether or not to keep going with mine.

I can understand your concern, but it doesn't really blend in in reality, it's just on pictures.
I definitely plan on growing the goatee further, for the moment just to let it grow. It's still too short to braid.
There was a spot of snow in the beginning of November, but the fall has been the warmest fall ever recorded, and if the second half of December doesn't get colder, this will also be the warmest December ever... So, we'll have to wait for the snow!

Wow what more can I add thats already been said other than to reaffirm how well your hair is comming along since your last update.I too like the ponytail shot the best as it better shows how thick your hair is being drier in that pic.I can only imagine how you'll look in another year at this rate but do keep it up as you can't go wrong but careful of overtrimming!Mark
Thanks man! I'll be sure to be careful about trims, I'm having my father do them, and I know I can trust him. I only get it trimmed when I start to notice increased tangling at the ends.

The best trick I have is to take good care of your hair, and then to try to think of something else :)
The first 1½ years were the longest for me I think. By then it was starting to get long and now it just keeps growing while I focus on other stuff :)

Wow, 39 months. I can hardly believe it; it seems like just a few days ago, you were celebrating the 2-year milestone. But you've come a long way, and your hair's come with it. It's starting to drop again, and though you may be discouraged with its resistance to drop sometimes, be assured that for us, the people that don't see your hair every day, your hair certainly looks longer than in previous updates. Your hair looks very well-cared for, too.
Also, your tattoo looks AWESOME. The design you found in that church (was it a church?) is just plain awesome. That's one of the best tattoos I've seen in some time. It's perfect with your hair.
Keep it growing, man! If you hit waist-length, that'll look so amazing.

thanks for posting these great pictures - wish I had been able to respond earlier! I find myself liking the first picture the best - the one with the high-quality tatoo. I think your hair (with the straight part on top and the curly part at the bottom), your goatee, and this tatoo, it's a great style, and it goes together extremely well. (I find myself saying that even though I'm normally very fussy about tatoos...)
