Hi everyone,
I have been trying to grow my hair long over the past year. I have always loved the look of it but until now have never had the courage (for want of a better word) to go through with it. I would really appreciate some help, though.
It is on the shoulders at the back, and about 1 inch above chin at the front. I have a couple questions that I would love answers for:
1. Where I work, my boss is most unhappy about my hair so I try to make it inconspicuous by wearing a pony-tail at work. Unfortunately, this is causing the hair to kink quite badly. I appeal to anyone to tell me how to avoid this!
2. All though I can wear my hair in a pony-tail it is relatively short at the front, and the hair gets loose and goes across my face all the time. Do you think I should get the back cut (but lose the pony ability), so that the back and front are "in sync."?
Thanks.
P.S. I think this site is great. I did a search in alta-vista, and i was amazed to find a site dedicated to this subject. The web-board has inspired me (I was going to give up and get my hair cut, but now I am determined to grow my hair long). I am glad I am not alone out here!
Jason.
When you ponytail your hair....apply gel or mousse to it and hairspray. The excess hair that's falling all over your face will stay in place and it'll have that slicked back "Steven Seagal" look. It will also prevent the kinking of your hair because it's being held in place. Bobby pins will also help, but if you feel weird about this, try clipping it behind your ears where it will be hidden. As for cutting off the length...i suggest you just let it grow. That's how I started out and now my hair is all one length at below the shoulders. Hope I was able to help.
Hello,
First, you have to use some thing hels as a rubber band to make your ponny tail, it is to small and break you hair, use something loose (i know it will go away, but this is the only solution.
Re your difference of lengh, be patient, use for now some gel in order to have all hair together. Do not hesitate to have them cut to the same lengh in the near future in order to be abble to have something correct. Do not hesitate to contact me any time.
I am a hairdresser in PARIS.
