hey,
ive been growing my hair out for a little over six months, and the issue i have isnt with the front of my hair, but the back (along the neck). the hair sticks out on the sides like a spider.
by sides i dont mean the hair on the side of my head, but the hair on the back of my head (rests on the neck).
how can i get rid of this? if i dont, how long will it be like this (it has been this way seems like 3 months into it!, not 100% sure though).
You're simply going through the awkward stage right now. I've been growing for 7 months. I got the back trimmed on October 2nd and ended up going through that wonderful stage twice. It's best to just let it grow and eventually gravity will take over. Otherwise, you'll perpetually have that problem and that's just not good. =)

Thanks for the information. I'd been seriously contemplating getting a little trim in the back to deal with that exact problem. Now I'll just grin and bear it.

alrighty, thanks
This is called the awkward phase/stage. Wait it out and dont cut your hair. Growing out your hair is a gradual process in wich patience prevails.
I know if I shower right before bed, I'll get wicked bed head (hairs that go everywhere).
Hang in there, gravity will start to be your freind soon!
