I see you guys always referring to the "awkward stage". What is it?
That stage between "short" and "long". Many people believe their hair is unsightly at this stage. It's partly true and partly due to being self-conscious of looking different.
It can also mean the hair in certain areas isn't yet long enough to control adequately by tying it back, without assistance from such things as gels, bandannas, hats, etc., so you always have it getting into your face...
It's the stage where your hair won't do anything you want it to. In other words, it can't be pulled back, it won't stay where it's combed, and either looks a halo (or a UFO around your head), or hair that just sticks out everywhere.
