Time for another update! For those who've been following my progress, it's now 40 months since my last haircut (though I had two maintenance trims since then). At this point, I've stopped thinking about my hair so much - only when it gets in the way! Lately it's been getting caught in my clothes, jacket zipper, etc.
A bit annoying, but still worth the small inconvenience for finally having what I consider long hair. The longest hair is 17 inches. I've come to accept that my hair is fine, thin and slow growing. It looks best when it's just been washed and air dried and for about 24 hours after that. Otherwise it looks flat and greasy as shown below with me in a green shirt.
Most of the time, though, I tie my hair back to look more "professional" at the office and to keep it out the way. I finally set up a blog to keep track of my hair progress and other important things (see link below).
There's more pictures on my blog (see link)

Congratulations, you're getting a lot of length now! Do you have a final goal? And we can never have too many hair progress sites! All the best in future growth.

Three years ago, I would have been happy to just have my hair long enough for a ponytail, but now I'd day that I'm about half way to my goal length. Picture what I've got, twice as long, so about 34 inches long. Should put my hair at lower back length.
Thanks for the encouragement and compliments!
looking awesome dude......goddamm i hope my hair turns out like urs

That's great to hear! Three years ago I could have never imagined hearing people say this about my hair, or thought I'd make it this far. Thanks!
Breathtaking mane ... really looks great ... awesome ponytail too.
Never cut it shorter ... grow it longer - as it can only get better.

Thanks! Some of those pictures are showing a "good" hair day and some aren't. It looks nicer when it's combed, but I tend to lose the waviness then.

Hey Walter, I was just thinking about you too! Glad you liked the progress pics. Look for an email from me later today :)

Hey Peter. I'm really impressed with the difference in length since your last update. I think the trims probably helped to keep your hair in its best condtion.
Hey Jason, that's good to hear that there's a noticeable difference in length since my last update! I don't recall when that was, but it must have been about 4 or 6 months ago.
The trims definately helped get rid of split ends caused by highlights done back in August 2003 (just before I decided to grow my hair out). Logic would dictate it's time for a routine trim, but I don't see any split ends yet, and since my hair grows so slowly I might just put off my next trim a bit longer.
Hi Peter, your Hair looks GREAT, i remember you from a While back! Great Progress, keep it up! Hope my hairs as great at the 3 year Mark!
Thanks Ozzy! I just saw your latest progress pics and they're looking great too! Lately, although I haven't been thinking of my hair, in terms of length, I've been taking better care of it than I did at first.

Long time, no see! Excellent hair you have grown it is!
Fine hair and thin hair is a challenge, but I think you have surmounted that challenge and come through with some very good looking hair. Good to see you again. That balck and white picture is very cool.
Thanks! That's my hair on a good day...
I cropped and touched up that black & white photo, take a look. (I like black & white photos - they look different and more dramatic sometimes).

it got filled by default, typing too fast and didn't notice that. ;)

Your hair looks amazing! Thanks for sharing those impressive update pictures with us. Btw , whats your goal length?
Glad you and the others liked seeing my update pics. At this point I'd have to say my goal length is lower back. I'm about half way there. When I first started growing my hair out, my goal was to have a decent sized ponytail, and I've already attained that. I'd still like to have hair at a length that's not too hard to manage, so lower back length hair sounds good! :)

Hi Peter,
your hair and its length are phantastic! By the way, the long hair, the goatee, and the earrings go extremely well together - good styling!

Thanks! I like the long hair, goatee and earrings combination too!

Hey Peter the pics look great. Your hair doesn't look thin to me, that top picture is lots of hair :)
I am glad you are happier with your hair, you should be its great. Somethings work best when you dont worry about them :)
Congrats on your progress
Hi Chris, that top pic is definitely one of the better ones... on a good hair day. I had just washed my my hair and let it air dry, fluffed it up a bit and it looked good.
I prefer my hair looking like that, though it's tied back most of the time for going into the office or when I'm working on something at home.
Thanks! :)
