Sup guys. Still growing my hair, will be 5 months on wednesday I'll have some pics up then my hair has been growing way faster than normal already 3 inches long.
Saw bodom amon amarth gojira (and sanctity but they suck so whatever). Got there at 11am stood out front till they opened the doors at 5pm, engage in the usual -hold onto the rail at whatever cost- game untill the band came out at 7. Sanctity was garbage just waited untill they got off the stage, looked like nice guys though. French death metal band Gojira were amazing, love their stuff. By the time amon amarth got on the place was PACKED people were moshing, crowd surfing, everyone wanted to get a front spot on the rail, but i wasnt gonna let go for anyone. I latched my arms onto it and never let up, could hardly breath from all the sweaty animals closing in on me. I had to put my feet on the barracade and push full force back on them to get some breath. Amon Amarth played songs off their new cd, asator, cry of the blackbirds etc. Halfway through their set it was getting out of control and I was more or less trying to keep my spot and fight off savages than actually watching the band. (between amon amarth and bodom 4 or so of my friends had to get helped out by security from lack of breath/dehydration) Some random long haired dude barfed on himself and had to get pulled out but no one wanted to touch him so they just forced him over the rail ahah. Im not a huge bodom fan anymore, the band has gotten too cocky and just seemed to be going through the motions of played. During the light show there was a bright flash and I saw on the ground right in front of me a pick that johan from amon amarth had chucked to the crowd but no one got it. I was drenched in sweat, I had a jacket on as well but couldnt take it off because of how packed in it was, it was damp all the way through. With all the people in back of me sweating as well I though someone had taken a piss on me for sure. I jumped over the rail got down and grabbed that pick and watched the rest of the show from the back.
The sound of the show was pretty bass heavy, could hardly hear the leads for any of the bands... which in my opinion is the best part. All in all, standing on line for 8 hours then getting ravaged and kicked in the head by crowd surfers, I can say it was worth it having been able to grab that pick =)
Anyway heres the pictures. Some of them are blurry but it would have been impossible to delete the ones that came out bad with the amount of people around me, I had to just click and keep clicking with one hand.
Wonderful! I really want to see Children of Bodom live someday. I prefer being on the stage than in the crowd though. :)
i wasnt sure if i wanted to go to that concert when they came to dallas, because cob is nothing but a crappy sellout band and i didnt want to give them any money. i really wanted to go see amon amarth, but dallas is 3 or 4 hours away and i had about 3 tests on that day anyways :(
You know, I never heard of Child of bodom but I would love to go to a metal concert, whoever it may be. I wish they had one in Taiwan because they are usually a once in a lifetime event since most metal artists have next to zero audience in Taiwan. Last guy that came here was JayZ because for some reason hip pop is very popular here.
By the way, I dont know why hip pop is so popular I suspect it had to do with all the advertisments and marketing to push these through. You know with good marketing you can even get garbage to sell. Just to let you know JayZ is more business man than artist... even the radios that plays his crap says he's a business man.
How do I start a pirate radio station that plays nothing but independent artists?
Loudness might tour there - I think they try to tour as much of the East as possible. I saw them when they returned to the US earlier this year and it was a blast. Akira Takasaki is a shred monster. (no long hair though)
I saw Sanctity with Protest the Hero and Dragonforce and yeah, Sanctity definitely sucks. I would love to see the other bands though.
Amon Amarth did a great tour over here in Europe with Wintersun and Tyr. So do tell me who where the mighty Dragonfarce!

CoB played at the Palladium in Worcester, Ma Saturday night. Was this from that show or from a subsequent date?
It was a very good show BTW.
YES AMON AMARTH!!! I LOVE THAT BAND! Children of Bodom too. I wish I could have seen them but they didn't come to toronto. Glad you had fun man, it must have been a sick show.
I saw Children of Bodom at the Trocadero in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. They were amazing.
Alexi Laiho is a metal god...He is amazing. And you cant forget Roope Latvala, he's really friggin good too.
Blurry or not, that's sick, man. Children of Bodom rock. lol, some of the blurry shots actually look pretty cool.
