i was pleased with it for about a week it feels soft its shiney but the top of my hair is just simply disgusting...at first i thought i wasnt washing out the conditioner good enough but that just isn't the case...it makes my hair horribly greasy at the top and it clumps and sticks together leaving it look thin and dirty :(
anybody else have this problem with it? seems to be only the long and strong that does it to my hair...i guess ill have to change shampoos cuz its really gross
I was using Garnier Fructis Sleek And Shine but stopped recently. Garnier fructis contains cones(Dimethicone , yada yada cone..anything ending with cone). silicone based ingredients that supposedly clog your hair follicles. I am not sure if this information is accurate but ever since i stopped using it my hair has improved vastly. I switched to Alberto VO5. Alberto VO5 is a cone-free shampoo and is VERY affordable. Perhaps you can try the no-cone method and see if it works. If you are to try it, First you must clarify your hair with a clarifying shampoo. Try herbal esscence degunkify tingly shampoo. Its a deep cleansing shampoo. Hope this helps and good luck , gurl.
P.S. Is it possible for you to post pics? ;-)
id rather not post them lol........but if you msg me on aim ill send em to ya ...aim cupkakez420
I've used the long and strong conditioner for about 6 months now. It hasn't been that great to be honest, but I would still say that for me personally it has been far from evil.
Good luck with finding a better product, as it certainly sounds like you shouldn't be using this one!
i had the same prob. the g.f. is okay, in that any product such as this will eventually build up residue. they all do that. you have to use a "clarifying" shampoo that leaves no residue and use it every 3rd or 4th time you shampoo. try Suave Clarifying. it's cheap and good and leaves no residue. some will not like it because it contains ammonium but you don't use it every time you shampoo and a stronger formula is needed to get out all the built up gunk. i was amazed at the result when I tried it. huge improvement.
garnier fructis never worked for me either...it used to give me some extreme frizz :(.well, like Chris said, I think you should try the no-cone method,I'm currently on that too.Quite frankly,I think this and the no-shampoo method are doing wonders for my hair,my hair is really soft right now.!! :)
Me neither...
I like it I see lots less breakage. I use the leave in conditioner and stay away from the top 6" of my hair....maybe ry that to lessen the greasy feeling, just a thought....Eat A Peach For Peace RedTail Wolf
...and as most people around here already know, I love L'Oreal products.
L'Oreal has never let me down.
I am currently using the following products (all put out by L'Oreal):
1. ViVE Smooth-Intense Shampoo for THICK hair (they also have a formula for fine hair).
2. ViVE Smooth-Intense Conditioner. The BEST--bar none--in my opinion.
3. MELTING Gel (Studio Line from L'Oreal). Can be used as a hair dressing.
4. Liquid SPRAY Gel (Studio Line from L'Oreal). This product works MIRACLES--I kid you not.
Adds shine and just a bit of hold.
To 'cure' the FRIZZIES: spray all over your hair (damp or dry.
And then slide a face cloth across your hair. This will smooth away those frizzies.
