I don't know how long it lasted, but I think I went about two months without shampoo.
My conclusion is thus: I'm sticking with shampoo.

Hey Jeff , The no-shampoo seemed effective judging from the pictures i saw. I noticed it was a tad greasy but nonetheless the hair seemed in great condition. It is a wise choice in my opinion to start using shampoo. I think it is healthier for the scalp. As for the shampoo-method , Use it sparingly and condition daily. Do you have any particular shampoo brand in mind? If so , Which brand is it? Well , Good luck to you and happy holidays!

Were you using conditioner? I know some people think very highly of what's called conditioner only (CO).
You could also try using a solution of applecider vinegar and water as an alternative to shampoo. That worked somewhat decently for me in the past. :)
Anyway, at least you know what works for you and what doesn't. It's a step in the right direction. Also keep up the experiments. It's all part of the fun of growing out your hair and learning about your body. :)
Hi Jeff,
It was a worthwhile experiment to try out, everyone needs to find the best routine for washing hair. Your hair does look a lot softer with the shampoo wash. I find about two shampoos a week, with "conditioner only" washes on the other days, works best for me. Any more than two shampoos a week, my hair is too dry, but I find that 4 days is about as long as I can go without shampoo before my hair gets greasy. Keep it growing!

Well, good for you; whatever works best for you. Honestly, the no-shampoo method is generally geared toward people with curly hair, so it kind of makes sense that you decided what you did. Two months might not have been long enough, because my hair took a long time to really show a significant improvement from the no-shampoo method, but hey. Another problem might have been if you didn't clarify your hair.
Nevertheless, your hair looks less greasy now, so it seems you made a good decision.
Peace
