Sorry about disappearing about a week ago, my mac died, after it found it's way into the trunk of our car unprotected. Well, it doesn't matter now, I did in the end fix the situation, by commandeering the shell of a similar laptop we had lying around! So go me! Sorry I've been so dreadfully quiet, but my exile is now over, hop to talk to you soon.

I don't know that much about hardware but swapping out the innards of your laptops sounds hard! Glad you figured it out.
