Hi everyone,
I've always had short hair... the longest it ever was was back in elementary school, and even then it was pretty short. I think I'm going to try and grow it out. :)
I think my ideal length would sort of fall into the category of above my shoulders, but below my ears. Any suggestions from you?
And how do you think my hair will turn out? I think it's a bit wavy. Here's how it looks now:
No way to tell without growing it. I had no idea how my hair would turn out before I grew it.

The only guess I will make is that your hair will be a much lighter blond the longer it gets. Besides that,you just never know. At any rate, I bet you will be pleased with the results and the process of growing it.

You'll do fine. Suggestion for growing long hair? Don't let anyone convince you that you need to cut it, thin it, "shape it", in order to acheive long hair. Just let it grow!

best of luck, you should get it in 10-14 months. (or sooner if you are willing to have short bangs / longer length in the back than in the front) Is there a particular celebrity hairstyle you're going for?

to put it succinctly, you look already quite good as you are (the friendly eyes and the open smile do that for you), and, with long hair, your face will be a real "character face" in the best sense of the expression - the face of a a strong-willed, yet open and friendly, really cool guy.
The shape of your face is perfect for long hair - you'll look gorgeous!
Grow it, brother, grow it! (and, DON't bother with trims etc)
