After 1 1/2 year, I've noticed my hair has definitely gone through some changes--it seems to vary noticeably between tightly curly and wavy/straight and I can't take it anymore :P It looks horrid (No, I will not show a picture of that lol). So I'm going to cut it for now. My hair start becoming more loosely curled in the last few months so I figure another 6 months to a year should be enough for it to finish changing.
Aside from that I'm missing not having to wait 1-2 hours for my hair to dry (I don't really like blow-drying) after washing it. It's a bit too time-consuming and whenever I feel a bead of water roll down my neck it feels itchy =/ lol
Anyway I will probably decide to let my hair grow again when but not now. It's too much of a mess to deal with at this time for someone who is usually busy (2 jobs, and school, and still job-hunting :p)
BTW, my hair has changed several times throughout my short life-span of 20 years. I'll post pics momentarily
well,it's up to you what you want to do with your hair. But,before you cut it,let me tell some things:
1)blowdry your hair if you don't feel like letting it airdry!!!!I know some folk here are gonna disagree with me on this, but blowdrying isn't all that damaging...I've blowdryed mine many times..I haven't noticed any damage!!!
2)My hair is just like yours,wavy/straight with curls.you gotta understand that your is under construction right now.Take buildings for instance...when a building is under construction, all you see is steel beams and foundations:it's ugly!!moreover, there are people around shouting, machines making noise, drilling etc...which is not a pretty sight, nor pleasant to the ear!!!but the end result is spectacular!!!!the same thing goes for hair!!!(there are exceptions though).
3)I don't get the part where you say you are job hunting:you said you already have 2 jobs!!you want a 3rd one? :P.Well..if you are looking for another job, then yes...long hair can be a disadvantage!!BUT...if you really want to keep the hair AND find another job, then you have to turn this "disadvantage" into an "advantage":find out in what regards you can be ahead of your competition. For example, companies like it when interviewees know a bit about the company!!if you take the time to learn some things about the company you are applying for, then you will stand out among your competition!!!!!
I used to blowdry my hair when I was 12-14 and while it didn't damage my hair, it would make my scalp itchy and dry no matter which voltage I used or how far away I held the blowdryer. It would definitely help straight my hair out if i combed it while I dry it though I want to leave it curly :P
Trust me. I'm an exception :P My hair is also thinning out a bit (which is good in my case bc my hair was so thick I could hardly comb it sometimes =/ lol) It's like my hair is turning back into my baby hair at the roots...or something like that :P
Thanks for the advice. I currently work at Starbucks and Jason's Deli and they require that we wear hats. Up until now I've tolerated wearing hats to my jobs but i can't take it anymore. So I'm looking for a job to replace them. I know some places don't care too much about the length of hair as long as it's neat. And trust me my hair isn't so neat right now LOL It's a little hard to tame my hair when it's not quite sure what it wants to be :P
I will definitely let it grow again...just not now.
I'm sorry to hear that you're giving it up for a while. You really look good with long hair. Remember, there are many different styles that you can choose from, just be careful not to pull the hair too tightly as is done with some styles. I am posting a picture of one guy with long hair. I'm not sure if it is any particular style, but I think that it looks absolutely awesom! The pic didn't have a copyright notice on it, so I borrowed it and maybe it will give you a little inspiration. xoooo that's a really good pic :) Good luck.
That actually looks cool lol but I did what I felt was best (I cut it this morning). My hair is definitely unrulely again like in my other pictures but it's always been like that when it's short. I just wish it would change to the looser style more quickly :P With any luck it'll grow back quickly the way it does in my family anyway. I guess as long as I keep taking Omega-3 and my multivitamins it will be in pretty good condition and look nice as it continues to grow.
And thanks :)
