Hello Merry christmas and happy christmas to everyone,
This is my very first post on this board, though i've been reading it for past six months, my question is...
Does long hair only suits tall people, I'm a 5"5" to 5"6" male and currently my hair reaches my chin from front and is about same length from the back, i've had it longer but just recently got it cut to my chin length due to people telling that it only suits tall people.
Please tell me whether its true or pure b*****ks.
Any help, would be appreciated very much and if you are in a same situation as me, then plz do tell me.
Peace and Merry christmas.
Welcome to the board. Great to have you here.
You will find in the process of growing out your hair that quite a few people may tell you a vast array of things that are negative or untrue. There is no "rule" of which I am aware that states how tall one has to be to have long hair. Long hair looks well on guys of any height. Just let it grow and forget about haircuts for a very long time. You will find (the usual case) that once your hair is long, that compliments will come your way!
Wishing you a joyous Christmas Day.
The only real relation between height and long hair I can think of is that when you're not so tall, your hair starts looking long earlier. Which I would say is a good thing.
If I were you I'd just grow it out and ignore the naysayers.
Rejoice that your hair will reach your desired goal faster than if you'd been six foot tall.
It had better not only suit tall people...I'm only 5' 2"! :-)
There are probably some fashion "rules" out there that say certain hair types are only suited to certain face-shapes or heights...but then these "rules" keep changing over time. It's a heck of a lot easier to just be yourself.

I don't think height has much to do with how it looks on a person. I'm only 5'7" and although my hair isn't quite out of the awkward stage, I'd say it looks fine.
In a Word No
I hope not. I'm only 5'6 and 1/2". Notice how I throw that extra 1/2" in there. Well, my hair seems to be growing, but I can't do a whole lot about my legs. Personally, I like the short stature long hair combination, but everyone is different.
That will depend on how you define "suit". Does it mean "suit" others' fashion taste, or "suit" your own preference, or what?
I am 5' 5" and I have belt-length hair. Many people well-meaningly told me to "trim my hair a bit" as the length "drags me down" and makes me look even shorter.
Well, it didn't bother me a wee bit as I am what I am. I'll be growing it to my knees, at least :).

Actually super long hair will make you look taller, not shorter. The vertical hanging nature of long hair has the same effect as wearing a shirt with vertical stripes. I have seen photos of guys with hair past their waist and I have always over estimated how tall they are.

I would hope not! I'm only average height myself (5'9"). The negative comments I get are more related to my facial type (long neck), giving me the impression that guys with long necks shouldn't have long hair, but frankly, I think my neck looks longer with short hair.

I'm 6'1" and have been told it doesn't look good on me since I am tall. If I was shorter it wouldn't stand out as much.
I've also been told that since I am fairly big it doesn't look good either.
People will tell you what they want to get you to do what they want, especially if they know you don't react to direct criticism. By planting seeds of doubt they undermine your resolve. Don't fall for it.
