Hey all, I'm attmepting to grow my hair out for the first time in my life (I've reached a point in my life where I'm just bored and need something new to do lol).
Anyways, here's my issue...due to my Lebanese background, my hair is extremely thick, although I've known a lot of guys with thick hair that grew their hair out just fine. I'm at a point right now in my growing cycle where its just fluffy and thick and unmanagable.
I dont care about that though. My question is based on what you guys see in the pic, and how thick my hair is, what will my hair look like in , say, a year from now or so?
Thanks all, and sorry for the long post, and happy holidays!
A half inch trim once this year, by someone sworn not to cut more would be acceptable, but your haircutter must understand your goal is to grow your hair long. This will boggle the mind of some, but if you experience that sort of reaction, seriously consider avoiding altogether a haircutter, or finding another who is committed to helping you.
Then, within a year, you hair will be enviable, and within two years your hair will have learned to behave itself with your careful management and you will be seen as a very powerful man, so behave yourself to be an exemplar of our long hair community.
Welcome.
Thanks for your help...I have heard conflicting arguments on cutting hair like that though...people say cut it at the ends once in a while to help it "grow longer" but others will say it is pointless to cut your hair when you are attempting to grow it out. I'm just going to leave it be for a little while longer and see what happens.
I'll keep my pics updated for you all to see my progress, and for more help.
I have to say that you're hair is going to look phantastic with about another year's worth of growth. I am certain that we will all be most envious of it when it has grown longer. Best of luck in 2007 and have a happy new year. Welcome to the board.
