Hey folks. Thought I should post a quick update because I know there's a couple of people who've wondered where I was. I've not lost interest in the MLHH! During thanksgiving my old ISP (Time Warner) was taken over by Comcast, and I subsequently canceled my subscription with them because I've had a LOT of trouble with them in the past. I've checked on the MLHH a few times since then when I've had access to a connection, but I only have enough time to read posts, and not reply. I should be getting a stable connection back within the next month, so I can be back to my old self!
As for my hair..well it's still growing consistently! It seems to favour the Winter over the Summer, much like my actual self :) It's growing even faster now than it did in the summer. I can actually go 7 days without a wash now, when in the summer I can only make it 3 or 4..and, it's never dry!
I reached a goal length a few weeks ago- my hair will finally stay behind me without loose strands coming over my shoulders, so I can wear it down without having it move over my shoulders everytime a gust of wind comes along.
My mother got a job recently as an SAP contractor working for Aveda, which is (coincidentally!) the brand of shampoo I've grown to favour over the past few months. What normally cost a lot is now only 1$ in the employee 'overstock' shop. Very convenient! Plus, the 'Sap Moss' shampoo uses moss from...Iceland!!!! I liked it even before knowing that bit of info though.
Anyhow, I think that's an apt conclusion. I swore a couple of months ago in my October update that I'd get some better pictures when it snowed in Minnesota, because I thought that would be a good time marker. Minnesota has the coldest average temperature in all of the continental U.S....but, get this...we haven't had snow that's stuck to the ground yet. And it's nearly January. I wonder if I can blame this one on global warming ;) I'll still stick to that promise, but I'm not so sure we'll get ANY snow this Winter, hehe. Unless I go play with the snow machines on Spirit Mountain.
Anyhow, I think that'll conclude this. Just thought I should checkup so people don't suspect I've abandoned the MLHH and cut my hair.
hey man, welcome back!!it's good that you now have access to cheap shampoo, and that your hair is doing fine!also,I can't wait till my hair gets long enough to stay behind my back loosely...man...that should take another 8-10 months according to my estimation.anyway, lookin forward to your next update, take care!! :)))

Hey man it's good to see you posting here again as I haven't seen you about for a while. It sounds great that you're mum has got a position working for the shampoo company brand that you use as that means cheap products all round. Looking forward to seeing you back on here more often. Sounds like you're progress has been fantastic and I truly can't wait to be at the point that you are. All the best for the New Year Gylfi.
Hi Gylfi,
Great to hear you're still around! I still remember how fast your hair had grown in the last update, and now that it's growing even faster in the winter months, that's awesome, must be the fastest growing here! I was wondering how long you plan to grow it? Looking forward to your next update, maybe we'll have to pray for snow in Minnesota LOL!

You might check in to Quest. I've been having good luck with them, and you can get a DSL line without a regular phone subscription.
I'm also quite disappointed with the weather in Minnesota this year. I have snowshoes just waiting to get out and play.

Must be pretty widespread. We haven't had any snow in New Orleans either this year! :o)
I was wondering where you had disappeared to, but battling telecom companies is definitely a valid excuse. =P
Sounds like you should trade places with me down here in Denver, or I could just ship some of our 30 inches of snow up your way, considering we're supposed to get another foot by this weekend.
Oh well... hope your Christmas treated you well otherwise. If I don't chat with you beforehand, have a happy new year as well! =)

Hey, Gylfi.
while I've not had much contact with you (any?), I just wanted to say that I thought it was a very well-written catch up letter and I feel like I know you a bit more now. Thanks for sharing.

PS What is 'Moss Sap' and for what purpose is it used?
It's good to know that you are still doing well and O.K. Hope you had a good holiday. That's great that you can get the Aveda shampoo for nearly nothing. It is some pretty good stuff judging from my experience.
Have you began studying Icelandic yet? I know you are going to be enjoying that!
I wonder what makes Icelandic moss better than regular American moss? HAHA!
Plus, the 'Sap Moss' shampoo uses moss from...Iceland!!!!
