Just wondering what your highlight or milestone was for this year? My 2006 milestone was my first visit to a hair salon....and it was fantastic. Up to that time, I had always trimmed my own hair or had a friend help. I was referred by a friend whose girlfriend owned the salon. I got a shampoo, great conditioning, trim and style...a wonderful experience. I plan on returning next summer. So, how about you? What was your 2006 milestone?
Mine was simply discovering this awesome hyperboard, the only place on the internet totally dedicated to support guys growing their hair out. My only regret is not discovering it back in 2004 when I first started growing my hair.

I had tried numerous times to grow my hair out, but always decided to get it cut after a few months. When I found this site last May (and subsequently joined in October), that convinced me to go for the gold. =) You guys are awesome and thanks all for the inspiration! Happy 2007!

great milestone for me too,although for me it's a milestone of the previous year! :P
my milestone was being able to put my hair in a ponytail and not look funny.
1)achieved first ponytail in my life!!
2)could put my hairs in my mouth...
3)2006 is the first year in my life where I didn't trim my hair whatsoever!! :)
that's about it,my next milestones are:
1)getting to the 2-year mark
2)for my hair ro get long enough that it'll stay behind my back loosely!! :)
My 2006 milestone would have to be none other than relinquishing my former sucky job, extricating myself from the mire of conventionality surrounding that, and embarking on a new carrer in which excessive hair-growth is not only permitted, but also common-place.
So far, no trimming or cutting is in my forecasted future, as limited as my prescience is, with the last fateful day of my unfortunate encounter with scissors having been on May 10, 2006. Here is to a 2007 with the same measure of hope foisted up for a year of hair growth unfettered and unfraught with the deleterious aspersions cast toward my dream of lengthy protien strands cascading groundward in their helices of grandiosity!
That stupid haircut literally changed my course and righted my resolve.

Mine was finally being able to put my hair in a ponytail. But it was ruined in October when I got my trim to get rid of tangles in the back. Now it's back to normal though:).
