There seems to be a good deal of interested in braiding ones hair presently on this Hyperboard.
Although this site doesn't tell you "how" (unless sending money for a book) it does offer unique photos of both Men and womens braids which you might find very interesting. (Also some hair tips now and then.)
"BRAIDED IMAGE HAIR BRAIDING" www.braidedimage.com
For those wanting information on how to do a "regular" braid yourself, look up "HOW TO BRAID HAIR." No cost involved.
Enjoy! :-)
Thanks Justin!!!when my hair get's long enough,I'll definitely start practicing! :)happy new year..
I've been lurking off and on for a few months now and this is one topic that I'm quite interested in. In fact it's one of the reasons that I'm currently growing my hair out. I've been wanting to get involved in historical re-enactments involving the navy in the Napoleonic era when all the "real" sailors had pigtails. Sadly though, I've been unable to find out much about what sorts of braiding they used.
Does anyone know?
I've also been inspired by my great uncle who passed on about 3 years ago. A truly nice man who had his last haircut in his late sixties about 20 years before he died. It's interesting though, I was also growing my beard out and have received far more negative comments about that than about my hair. The beard is now trimmed back and usually comes off in the summer anyway.
