Hi all, it's been a while since I posted...matter of fact, it's been almost a year! The advice I received back then, and the continued info I get from lurking has been invaluable along the way....I'm aiming for mid-back so I'm getting there...
As if it isn't looking great right now, you are truly blessed with spectacular-looking hair!
I am very happy for you.
With hair like that it is hard to miss as fantasic beyond belief when long.
Your hair looks great.
Wow! You've been blessed. Keep it growing and it'll be absolutely spectacular in another year. =)

Hi Kevin,
STUNNING, and that's putting it mildly! You're obviously blessed with great genes, mind if you send along some of your DNA to me? That's mighty impressive for one year! How long was it when you started, and how long do you plan to grow it? Keep up the IMPRESSIVE work!
David
Beautiful hair! I can't believe you made it that far in just a year. Congrats!

It is stunningly gorgeous and really fits you :-)
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! It seems like it takes forever while it's growing, but in reality, it hasn't been that long.
I originally started with a couple inches of length, and it was heavily layered because I always had too much volume - a puffy mess so to speak. I had one shaping of the back part about 6 months ago or so because there were some long ends sticking out funny. No major trims or anything - I do avoid scissors, and only have trusted family to fix bad ends. I never go to a shop.
I also take quite a lineup of supplements, and am what many would call a "health nut", which can only be helping my hair along ;-) That means no red meat, hydrogenated crud, artifical coloring, or refined sugar. My supplement lineup includes lots of biotin, a multi, B-complex, Flax oil, and a few others. I consume large quantities of green tea and soy as well, and no caffeinated coffee.
I've tried various washing methods, including every other day, every day, water only, etc. Right now I shampoo very gently each day and then slather in tons of conditioner, and then rinse about 3/4 of it out. I always keep it down, let it naturally air dry and remove any tangles once dry.
Now that I'm getting somewhere with my length I'm going to post more often. Without this resource I don't think I would have ever have started on this journey; Excellent site!
Looking good! Keep it growing!
