Every one in my school thinks that men who have long hair are geeks but I want to grow my hair long. I have brown straight hair and I only know of one other person in my whole school who thinks the way I do he to has long hair but his is blond/white and down to his waist, right now it's about at the bottom of my neck. What should I do?
Hello,
Keep up that way, have your ahir long, if this is your Idea. I have long hair for years, I am 29 year old, and hair dresser. My advise is that you shoud not feel desapointed in the bigining, because when your hair grow, they do not look very nice at the bigining, use some gel, hair greese, do dry them with hair dryer some times, do not hesitate to cut them after 6 or seven monther in order to have them all in the same lengh. Do not hesiotate to contact me any time for more advises.
My email is ubick@easynet.fr
Good luck

Hi Cale,
To heck with what others think, they are the one's who are the "geeks"
Just ignore what they think and say, life is too short to worry about others thoughts. Do as I do, let it grow, you are the only person that you ever have to please, after a while, they will get use to it, heck Cale, you might start a trend!!!
Let us know how it goes!

Over the years, I've grown to understand that there really is no such thing as "normal", and that there are about as many different definitions of the word "normal" as there are people living in the world. As a result, I've learned to have a complete lack of respect and regard for what others think about my fashion sense. Being able to do this also does wonders for helping improve one's own self-esteem.
Having said this, here's my advice to you: To hell with your peers and what they think about your hair. Who's opinions do you want defining who you are and what you look like? Your's, or there's?
Also, if/when people do insult you or what you look like, simply thank them. I do. It leaves them with absolutely no room for further comment, and comletely baffled as to why you'd want to thank them for the insult rather than returning the slap in the face (not to mention the look on their face is priceless).
Case in point: There's a new girl on our team at work in the credit office I work for who absolutely hates my hair. She asked me one day, "Why's your hair so long?" I told her I wanted it long.
Her: "It looks stupid."
Me: "Thank you." (grin)
End of conversation, and she hasn't said a word since.
"It looks stupid."
Well, I have not seen hair that is actually intelligent. That would be a real trick. OTOH, as my brother says, "how can anything be stupid unless it has the capacity for intelligence?"
