I posted a pic here a few months ago of me and a friend before we were both drafted. Here are some pics of me at the slaughter of my hair. I chose to allow a good friend to do the deed since I did not want the army to have the pleasure. I'll post a pic of me and my friend as soon as I can since we're not always back from base on the same days.

Hi Robin,
Not allowing the army to have that pleasure, that was probably the right thing to do. Even though it was a sad occasion in a way, you kept some control of the situation. When I was drafted in Germany many years ago, I cut my hair short by myself even a few months before the induction date.
I hope and pray that you and your friend are both safe, and that you will be spared ugly situations.
I'm looking forward to hear about your discharge and to see your hair growing back again.
