My hair is moderately thick, moderately wavy, dark, and a few inches past shoulder length. It's extremely frizzy. I've tried so many things. I recently started doing hot oil treatment every once in a while. That doesn't help much for the frizz, but it makes my hair healthier. I've tried varying shampoos and conditioners. I've tried leave-in conditioners and anti-frizz creams. I've tried going more than a day without shampooing... but that doesn't help. When I do that, my hair is really greasy and just as frizzy.
Any ideas?
join the dark side...blowdry the hair!!! :)
Can you post an up-close pic of your hair, becuase from your avatar it looks very straight and smooth
Hi Jake,
I agree with Brian that your hair in your avatar looks really straight and smooth (is it straightened?), doesn't even look wavy. (It appears that you have REALLY nice hair in your avatar!) I tried clicking on your avatar and it says "user profile is set to private", so I can't view your website pictures. A close up picture would be handy. You mentioned trying some of the things I already would have suggested, such as leave in conditioners, anti-frizz products, etc.

One thing that can cause frizzyness that I haven't seen mentioned on this list is static electricity.Todays plastic combs and brushes don't help.If your hair gets frizzier during cold dry weather that's probably it.I once had a brush made of wood with wood bristols. It worked really well.My mother found it somewhere.I've never found another one.

Any ideas?
Try deep conditioning with Olive Oil (20 minutes +), then rinse well......jojoba oil (wax) also helps.
Good Luck

Hi Jake,
I found thise anti-frizz gels (clear, really oily fluid) helpful that consist of dimethicone and cyclomethicone and almost nothing else extremely helpful. 30-50 ml should be less than $ 6.-
Hope that helps.

How about ACV rinse, (unrefined) coconut oil deep-conditioning, and maybe braiding hair before bedtime?. I put my hair in a loose bun every night (on top of my head so it doesn't bother me). My hair is hopelessly frizzy but this method works well.
Oh one more thing, what kind of shampoo do you use? I found a sulphate and cones-free shampoo which has considerably helped my wavy, frizzy, impossible hair to calm down! :) Or you could just try diluting your shampoo?
