Its been awhile since Ive posted a update. Im trying to post more regularly on these fourms since I got my new comp(last one didnt like connecting to the net). Heres some recent photos of my hair, its the longest Ive ever had my hair and probably the longest itll ever be since Im not growing it anymore.
I was at a birthday party last night and girls were taking pics posing with my hair. They put it on their heads to see what they would look like with long black hair. It was strange but didnt bother me, I wished I would have remembered my camera.

Magnificent long hair without question! Thanks for sharing with us your triumph.
Of the short hairs you speak of at the hairline. This is new growth replacing hairs that have reached terminal and fallen-out. If you were to look closely at other areas of your scalp, you would see the same is happening there as well but just in a less noticable place. All is just the natural process of how hair goes through its cycles.

Thanks! I have noticed that my hair is going through a different phase and its doing some new things that Ive never had to deal with before. Its not something that bothers me much but I never thought that I'd have trouble getting all my hair in a ponytail even when its this long.

About your new hairs, I honestly think they compliment a ponytail really well, for I like the savage ponytail look =P
I would suggest that you'd grow your hair to it's terminal lenght, I'm sure you could achieve something really special =) You could always cut it back to that lenght when you got tired of it anyways...

Hey Jao you have nothing to be jealous of you have great hair! I sometimes get envious of other people hair as well, sometimes I wish I had slightly curly hair or maybe a different color.
I wouldnt say my hair is perfect but it does suit me, thats why Im never going to go back to a short hair style. I look like a dork with short buzzed hair.
I have thought of going terminal but I dont think I'll do it anytime soon. Maybe when I get a bit older I'll let it grow as long as it can go. My hair has been growing since 2001 but I had a hair cut at around 2003. It was close to mid back in 2003 before I cut it to chin length. After that last cut I didnt do any trims for 3 years and have only recently trimmed the ends to try to keep the ends even and healthy. I dont trim much though only about half an inch each time.

That is positively, absolutely magnificient hair. I don't think I've ever seen hair that long in such perfect condition, right to the tips! I was a bit concerned about your comment "I'm not growing it anymore." I sure hope you are not contemplating cutting it, that would be a genuine tragedy!

Hah, Im just going to keep it at this length for now and not let grow any longer. I have been thinking of trimming about 5 inches off the ends and then regrowing it back to where its at now. Its something Ive been thinking of for a few months now but Im still not sure if Im going to go through with it.

Thanks for posting the update pictures.
You hair is great great condition and a beautiful colour. You certainly are a great inspiration to people growing their hair out and do keep it growing. Do you have any goal lengths and I remember you did have a major trim a while ago.
As the the shorter hairs that you get when tie your hair back I think most of us get those and that's just a new hair growth and you get used to it.
Keep it growing and thanks for sharing your hair journey this us.

Not exactly braids but looks close enough. These are older pics.
I sometimes do wear braid but since I cant do themself I dont use the style often. Heres the cloestest pic I have to a braid, if I get it braded sometime soon I'll post some pics for you.

Hey Daedalus, your hair looks superb. It appears to be about classic length (reaches top of thighs) now. No matter how long it gets, you will always have a few flyaways that don't reach the tie. New hairs are always growing in to replace ones that have shed. Just let them grow, they will eventually reach the tie. Again, your hair is superb. Yours is some of the best hair I have ever seen.

Hey thanks, after I reached waist lenght I stoped using inches and feet as my measuring scale. I just looked at my length and think, "Am I Absalom length yet?" and the answer is always "not even close!"
Maybe when Im in NorCal(I stay in Socal for the time being) I can catch up with you guys at one of the hair meetings. It'll be one of the few times I can say my hair is short and not be lying.
Or you can be the reason for a meet...if you are heading up around a weekend, that would be an excellent excuse to get together...just say when!
And it is neat to be not The Long Hair in a group. Especially when it isn't a matter of comparing and deciding, but, one glance...and no doubt whatsoever.
Leads to amusing situations (well, at least to us)...when someone comes up and is fawning over your hair, and you can say "oh, but hers is way longer than mine!" I just happened to have mine down spotlighted by the restaurant lighting) and the person is "x.x" :)
And since I forgot to post earlier, your hair is amazing and spectacular and makes me all kinds of envious.
I can't really add anything more, absolutely superb in every way!

Thanks to everyone who've responded to this post. If I inspire you to continue growing that great because I use this forum as my personal inspiration. Just looking at everyone here keeps me motivated whenever I had those bad days. It doesnt matter how long the hair is, just knowing that there are other people out there who have the cofidence in their choice on how they want to present themselves and not give in to societal pressures keeps me going.
