And here I am one year later--and this is after having an inch and a half cut off a couple months ago.
Moral of story for those frustrated with slow growth: Be patient!! Your hair will grow at its own pace. I'm still not at the length I'd like to be after 5 years, but I'm thrilled to have made this much progress!!
Definitely visible progress, and it looks very nice. I love the tatoos too, especially the unique yin-yang.

You have discovered the patience factor that is so important, and the past year looks to have been a good year of hair growing.
Have you colored it darker or is it the light in the picture?
At any rate, I think it looks good and the tattoos are cool too.
Congratulations on the progress you've made, and that indeed, you're not at terminal at all and probably have lots more inches (or feet!) to add on, hair looks great as well, nice and thick. I myself, thought I had reached terminal a few months back, right after discovering this community. I realize, now, that my hair is still making (slow) progress, so I haven't given up hope yet! Your pictures are a real inspiration to us with slow growing hair, and in your latest update, your hair doesn't even seem to be slow growing!
Keep it growing,
David
Good for you Randy! You persevered and you now have much longer hair. It must be a great feeling for you knowing that your hair is still growing.
Good luck in future growth!
Neil
Considering that you have been growing your hair for 5 years as well as the 2 pics you've posted here, would it be fair to say that your hair grew very little over 4 years, yet you had a LOT of hair growth by contrast, between years 4 and 5?
If so, that is really really strange.
I mean for your hair to grow extremely slowly for 4 years (to the point where you were pretty sure it was at terminal) and then to just have a massive increase like that in your 5th year...well, I didn't even know that was possible.
In any case it has worked out in your favour, so congratulations!
I started growing my hair from very close to a shaved head, and almost immediately started abusing it (bleaching, straightening, etc.) And I also had too many ill-advised trims along the way, until I found this site and learned how to take care of my hair!
I had the same question, why such an improvement all of a sudden? Your experience makes a lot of sense, Randy. You are now able to keep what you have been growing all along. I'm glad you got the length progressing again, the new length looks good on you.

Looks good Randy! Whats your ultimate goal length?
Bruce
I'm aiming for the bottom of the tiger tattoo.
