I have rather wavy black hair reaching almost to midback. If it was straight it would reach my waist (as it does when wet). I have heard that chemical straighteners damage the hair. Are there any herbal straighteners available?

Do NOT do that man. Instead, apply mouse when it is wet and it will look more natural, straight and sexy. Straightening just does NOT work out, EVER. Always looks like a mess.
