Granted, there is a few lose hairs on top, but meh, it mainly stays in place. This is a feat in itself, I've never been able to do this before.
What my question is, should I re-do my undercut? You can see my hair growing back under the bandanna, at the bottom end of my haid and neck. Does it need to be shaven off again? Does it look unsightly?
Well, I need to wash my hair, if all goes well, I might go to drama tomorrow like this :D it keeps the hair of my face.

you have an undercut?hmm..I didn't notice.I was in fact thinking of getting one myself a few months back (HHH has one!).but, I changed my mind...I decided my thickness is something to be treasured :).I think the band is a great alternative to an Alice band, which looks a little girly to me :)
The European Badass ;-)
just kidding. Yeah, I might go ahead and do it, seeing as it looks stupid at the moment.
Poor HHH, hope his knee heals just fine.
Hi Chris,
I just wanted to congratulate you on your first tail, that's always a great milestone to pass on the journey of growing long hair. I was wondering when you started growing your hair, and how long you are hoping to grow it?
The undercut is entirely up to you, some guys like to trim it, others leave it alone, generally it is hidden by the hair as it gets longer, the only time it shows is when you wear a tail.
All the best, keep it growing,
David
Hey. I last cut it in December of 2005. I had a buzz cut.
So, I am at a year and a month stage.
Thanks for replying :)
Wow! The tail looks great, and it's very impressive to have all that growth in a year starting from a buzz cut. I hope everything goes well if you decide to wair it in a tail tomorrow! Keep it growing!
Thanks man. Yeah, I'll see how I feel when I wake up, I might just have the bandanna on like it is, and not have the tail so it's lose. That can look cool. I dunno yet though.
Hair is looking good - No I'd let the under cut grow out and enjoy the full long lock effect.
I think the consensus among the long hair gurus is that you dont cut anything unless you have damaged ends, and take off no more than 1/4 inch. Also if you try to fix your hair they will not last. Lastly you have to go to a real hair dresser because alot of barbers always assume you want to shave.
Looks pretty good to me, Chris. My advice is to not worry about an undercut, as you'll just keep struggling with that stage every few months. Just let it grow and eventually the rest will get tied up in the ponytail, or you'll be able to do a sturdy half-tail. =)

Hi Chris Phoenix,
First, your hair is doing great, just keep it growing. It can only get better.
Second, I would let the undercut grow out and indeed enjoy the full-length look, as someone else suggested. Maintaining an undercut is always a significant risk for loosing other length elsewhere. Or is there any compelling reason to keep the undercuts?
In any case, happy growth!
Hans-Uwe
