do people here cut the whispy bits off at the bottom of the head or is it better just to leave it alone?..
Hi byseps,
are you already up? It must be only 9:15 AM where you are...
If you talk about the lower end of your neck, I'd say, if those are just "Whispy bits", you can shave them off. Just don't go too close to the real hair line, or you get an unwanted undercut. Better leave half an inch of "whispy bits" unshaven.
If you talk about the lower end of the pony tail, what you do here is really a question of taste.
- If you prefer the "all-at-one-length" look, then you could eg put LOTS of hair bands on your pony tail until only one inch sticks out, and cut that inch off cleanly with a pair of scissors. If you do that yourself, make sure the hair is well combed through and the pony tail is exactly centered before you put some 10 or 20 hairbands in - make sure they fit tightly. If you find a stylist whom you trust, you can have him or her do it for you.
- If you prefer the "natural" look with the pony tail tapering off towards the lower end, I'd just leave it alone as it is. That is certainly the easier and less risky solution.
In any case, "Einen schönen Mann kann nichts entstellen", i.e. "nothing can disfigure a handsome man" - so decide as you like. IF you cut anything: Make SURE you do not loose more than one inch, and don't do it more often than once in a year.
All the best!

I would say to leave it alone. Some guys like to trim the wispy hairs at the base of the neck that never grow very long, and whether you do that is entirely up to you. Many guys just leave them alone. The ponytial is looking A1 perfect, by the way. You've posted many pictures of the back, do you plan to post any front pictures?
Keep it growing,
David
only when ive had the surgery,,,lol
I didn't realize you were having surgery. I wish you all the best, hope everything goes well.

hey thx,,,i was just kiddin,,as in ,,a joke..
I shave my neck up to the true hairline. I really have to, because the wispy hair on my neck is more like fine wire and it tangles with my true hair, it also keep my hair from laying down flat on my neck. I think that it just depends on each individual. Your "wispy" hair doesn't look like it would cause you too much trouble since it doesn't look very coarse.
Great looking ponytail! If you can do it carefully and be sure not to cut any of the long hair, I'd recommend that you trim the wispy short hairs at the nape. It makes for a much neater look, and a nice contrast with a clean sharp edge between the long hair and smooth skin.
Good luck!
