Hey Guys,
I'm new around here and wanted a quick suggestion from the old war horses. I have been growing my hair for just over a year now and have started wearing a pony to work. However as the day goes on my bangs keep falling into my face. I'd want some kind of a hair product that would keep them pulled back? What do you think would be a good bet?
First of all, congratulations on your first year of growth =)
Secong, I think you should simply let your frontal hairs grow, and don't apply any product to style it... Honestly, those products are really harsh on hair, and will cause damage to your hard atained locks =)
If you still want to use styling products, you can try some gel... but I warn you to take really good care of your hair and to use lots of conditioner so it won't dry your locks =)
By the way, nice ponytail!! Keep it growing and good luck! See ya!!
I use hairspray everyday. I don't understand the comments about damage...my hair is fine after 7 years of using hairspray.
Hairspray still helps my hair look neat when I pull it back.
Hey Joao, thanks for the kind words bro. And Mick, yes I think "Hairspray" looks to be a decent enough bet right now. Might as well go down to the department store down the road and pick one up.
I used mousse and/or hair spray to get through the 'awkward stage' with no problems. I knew I was through that stage when the hairspray and mousse had no affect whatsoever. Now, after almost 3 years of no haircuts/trims, whenever I pull my hair back into a pony, I'll use a small amount of gel to hold the strays in place. That is, if I really want to. ;)
