Hello all.. i'd like to hear your opinion on this....
Now.. i've just gotten my hair shoulder length. But everyday, I see more hairs laying around. Its very frustrating. Im aftraid that now that i've finally got my hair to look great, its falling out faster. If anybody has ever felt like this, or knows what to do to slow breakage down, please let me know.
Are you sure there are actually more hairs falling out? As your hair gets longer, the same number of hairs will look like (and be) more and more hair.

Well, I ran my hand through my hair yesterday, and I pulled out 5 hairs. It seems whenever I run my hands through my hair, at least one pops out.
Actually, that's nothing. Everyone loses between 70 and 100 hairs daily. Chances are, it just looks like more because it's longer. If your hair is noticably thinner, then maybe you should worry. It's hard to tell if you haven't had it long before. My parents used to hate my hair because I didn't brush it, and my hair got all over the place, clogging up the drains and binding up the vacuum. : )
Ever since my hair got longer (it is now a couple inches past my chin all the way around... I got the back cut to even it out) I notice a lot more hair from my head on places other than where it should be (on my head). Like when I shower I notice hair either falling out or breaking, wrapping round my fingers. I never had hair fall out before (or at least not notice it). My theory is that when it was short, I never had any breakage because it was too short to ever get caught on anything. Now that it gets tangled, it breaks when you brush it or run your fingers through it. I also have like short 3 inch hairs on the top of my head, must be where they broke. Those suck, they look terrible.
I think I've found a way to stop this problem though. The most important thing you can do is condition every time you wash. Now that I condition I get really no breakage when brushing my hair after a shower. The comb glides right through it. Before, it was agony to brush my hair because it hurt so much to brush through the tangles. Now it's just waiting for those little 3 inch previously broken hairs to catch up with the rest of my hair...
Any comments on this?
Hello,
I also use conditioner after washing. It helps to avoid hair damages. But even with a wide toothed comb I have to be very carefully with wet hair, if not I detect sometimes between 30 and 40 single hairs in the sink, if I am very carefully only 0 - 10.
I think some hair is lost during the night and combing will put them out (if not already through the shower). Breakages may be caused through friction while sleeping. I think I should look after this satin pillows.
With dry hair electrostatic problems can occur, if the hair is combed in this state I think damages will essentially grow. I decided to comb the hair partially and often order it only with hands.
