I'm new to this community, but I've read all posts (since 1 month or so).
Sorry for my bad english, it's not the best :)
I've been growing my hair for one year now (Pic will follow) and in the moment I have some problems ;)
First of all I'm in the awkward stage... My bangs reach my chin (not all hairs, but most of them). I can make a ponytail of all hair, except my bangs, but I look like a medium-long haired girl on extasy when I wear it (as result of the bangs behind my ears).... I didn't find another example but I think it hits the nail on the head ;)
I don't know what to do with my hair in the moment... I only know that I want to grow it veerrryyy long :) But I want to make a ponytail so I can keep the bangs out of my face. When I've made some pics, I'll show you what I mean (I hope you won't laugh too much ;)).

great that you are sticking it out. I'd just wait for 3-4 months with the pony tail and gel the hair back until then. You could even fix the bangs with an invisible hairpin in the color of your hair. In any case, it sounds like you will be out of the "awkward stage" soon, and then, evreything will be a breeze.
And, you NEVER need to have ANY fears that your hair might look too "fem" during this stage. Even without a picture, I know it doesn't.
By the way, your English is very good indeed, what is your native language?

My native language is german (and i don't like it, by the way).

I'm looking forward to (= freue mich auf) your pictures - I think the world will be a better place with more long-haired guys - or is it vice-versa, once the world is a better place, there will be more long-haired guys? :-)
Often, I tell people about self acceptance as part of growing our hair (and everyone of us got different hair), in order to encourage them.
I have to admit, I like my native language, but I also like other languages, as well as playing around with them and finding good translations for rare expressions and funny terms ;-)

Welcome to our community, your hair sounds great as far as I can tell. There is no problem at all in tucking your bangs behind your ears, until it gets long enough, in another 3 or 4 months. Looking forward to your pictures.

So... to my person: I'm 16 years old and growing my hair for one year now (and a few days).
