In June 2006 I got a buzzcut and from there decided that I wanted to grow my hair out, don't like the buzzed look and wanted to try something different. I'm lookin for some opinions on whether or not it fits (seems like the best place to ask), along with some tips for keeping it healthy. I use a light shampoo and conditioner and pat my hair dry, and comb it every night before bed.

Hi, and welcome! I thinks your hair is coming along great, it looks nice and straight, which should make growing it a breeze. You've come a long way in only 8 months from a buzz, your hair grows fast. I was wondering if you have any particular goal length you are striving for?
Keep it growing,
David
I think I'm going to just keep growing and growing it until it becomes a burden. I figured the same; that because my hair is straight and fine it should look good when it gets really long, so I'm just hunkerin it out and takin good care of it until I get where I want to be, be it 10 months or 10 years from now.
Looks great brother!!
You have the perfect facial structure for long hair!! Keep it growing and keep us updated.
Wishing you the best,
chris
Looks good, long hair will suit you fine! When you enter the "Awkward Stage", hang in there, it'll be worth it.
Keep it growin'

Your new look does you credit far far better then the buzzcut look does I hope you keep it like that if your not intending to grow it longer

Hey, that's looking pretty good! I just hit my 8-month mark last week, granted my hair was a little longer than yours starting out. Anyway, you'll have rockin long hair with how straight and healthy it looks. Keep it growing! =)

Hi Harmony,
I like the "new you" a lot better than the "old you". As far as the optimal length is concerned, grow it as long as it feels good to you! You do have the perfect face for long hair - whether you'll wear it open or in a pony tail eg 8 months from now...
All the best!
Hans-Uwe
Welcome Harmony,
Try going for 2 or more years worth of uninterrupted hair growth.
I think with the color and texture you have, it will look great!
