I don't recall ever sharing this with everyone at MLHH before, --- and I haven't a clue why I never thought of it before!
In the Spring of '04, Bill Choisser very kindly was willing to help me set up a hair page on my web site, including taking some excellent pics of me (especially considering I'm NOT very photogenic). In fact, my entire website is in existence today only because of Bill's wonderful talents, and thanks to his amazing computer abilities (of which I have none whatsoever - lol)!!
Anyway, we had a hell of a lot of fun working on it together, --- especially with the Hair Page. If you don't mind some hair humor that's a bit "off", you'll probably enjoy taking at least a little look at the link to this page. You're welcome to look at the rest of my website as well, of course; but be forwarned that my Dance Page is not for the faint of heart (or ultra-conservative of mind)...

Anyway, for those who feel like checking it out... Enjoy!!

I'm not sure where I went wrong, as I typed in the links (even though they don't show); but I'll try again now, using the suggestion to put links in at the bottom...

San Francisco's Longhaired Urban Cowboy
Hi Ken,
I had seen your 'mane' page before but hadn't seen the dance pictures. I just love your hair in 'Two-steppin' with my friend Lissa'! It's flowing back perfectly. Thanks for sharing these.
Jason
Thanks, Jason. Yeah that pic was taken in '02. If I ever decide to go back to a shorter hair style with my hair, I think that particular length was just about "perfect" (in many ways; but especially for the fact that I wore a lot of half-tails then)...
My friend Lissa, by the way, is a dancer I've known since around '87 or maybe it was '88, --- we were "litter mates" in taking a lot of different dance classes together. Her hair is just as extremely short as mine is extremely long, --- which we both tease each other about! She's an amazing dance partner: a lot of fun and playfulness on the dance floor; but yet extremely skilled in just about every dance i can think of... and she looks just as young and slim as the day I first met her (unlike what she could say about me -lol)!!

"The Book of Ken", that I referred to in my original tile in this thread, can be found at the top of my Mane Page. Now that I finally understand how to correctly link things here, here ya go!....
The Book of Ken (Ken's Mane Page)
Haha that's a great page, Ken! I hadn't seen that part of your site, but you look to be an excellent dancer. I'm not that great myself, but perhaps I just haven't taken the time to learn many moves. =P
Oh, it's just a matter of taking some group classes, --- that's how i got started, at least (although it was quite awhile ago - lol). So many different dances to learn, and each with their own particular style and "flavor', depending on what kind of music turns you on... Swing (my favorite), Salsa (my 2nd fav), 2-Step, Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Cha-Cha... As the old saying goes: "Dancing is the most fun 2 people can have together, --- at least VERTICALLY-speaking... and still clothed!" (Lol)
I once did an impromptu dance exhibition at a talent show event with one of my dance partners. We chose to dance to a short but fast piece of Jitterbug music, Billy Joel's version of Elvis' "All Shook Up". It went very well, especially considering it was not any rehersed routine, --- just lead/follow dancing. A guy came up to me afterward to voice a "compliment', of sorts: "You are the most graceful overweight dancer I have ever seen!", he exclaimed. I was speechless... "Uh, thanks... i THINK!!" (Lol!!!!)

Hey Ken,
Have you ever done Jive as I was taught a few years ago and I do enjoy some of that 50's Rockabilly and Swing, just not metal. Certainly one of the best dances to enjoy good music to. I've done some swing but I wasn't hat keen in the side to side thing bit I'm sure there alot of variations.

rofl!!!!!!man..your posts always crack me up..god bless !! :))
Great site, there, Ken, I have seen your site before but I haven't had a chance to tell you before, but this is a perfect place to say that both your mane page and dance page are so much fun. Also, you always look so HAPPY in your pictures, must be that great mane you have!
All the best,
David
Well , It seems to me your dancing skills are excellent. Do you dance flamenco? Oh and another question , My mother wants to start a little mini garden but dosent know much about plants. She wants fragrant plants. Wich fragrant plants would you recommend for florida weather? The weather down here is tropical. It is always HOT and extremely humid....
Well , take care.
Lovely Ken. Good to see a photo biography of you hair journey and do keep it growing.

Indeed Ken, it is a MARVELOUS site!!!!!!!! (And to think I just discovered it quite recently.)
The photos of the Roses and all are just so fantastic!
And great ones of yourself abound. You just must be really proud to have such a super high-class site.
I LOVE IT! :-)
